After using these for about 2 months, I really don't like the stock cable. I'm not sure if there is any memory wire, but I have a hard time keeping the wire from flaring off my ear rather than just having them wraparound like I do with my Shures. Even with the pre-shaped guide I still have trouble keeping them curved around my ear.
ChurchillWUsed mined almost daily from the drop, my job involves a lot of outdoor walking, sound great with the foam tips although I do have to triple look crossing a road! I picked up a cable on ebay for about £22(less a £10 voucher they mailed me) delivered, still a bit stiff but it removed the control block which hindered my round the ear use.
Mine have already broken - sound cuts in and out everytime the cable moves. I think something in the jack has broken. Who do I speak to about warranty/refund?
@Danny_Liu what should I do about this?
Have had these a day now. Compared to my cheap Philips SHE9800 (£13.99) these are slightly less sensitive which is an issue, the treble has minimal presence, but seems better quality, but I can't get a good fit that stays well in the ear like the Philips do. The MMCX connectors are nice to have, I might retro-fit some to the Philips as I've repaired the cable about 6 times now and the heatshrunk parts are starting to stick out at funny angles! The cable is ok, too long to the split but with the buttons too near the earpiece, and the braiding doesn't seem to reduce the microphonics much.
These are my first that support Over-the-ear but I haven't found a tip+angle that makes this comfy yet, and the tonal difference while in the wrong place is quite large.
have just received a customs charge notice for £13.75 (UK delivery).
What the ****?
There is zero mention of customs charges in any emails sent to me from Massdrop, and there is no indication of customs charges at the checkout screen.
This has just increased the cost of this item by 40%!!!
MiffCustoms are your country's responsibilities, Miff. In Canada, items over $25 can arrive with custom fees, but in this case I got lucky and didn't pay any.
Microtomthough this is true, these amounts are known and could at least be hinted at when purchasing. I have bought many items over the years from non-EU sources and have never had a customs charge, though I suspect the few of applicable cost were marked as a gift. When I have bought expensive items from USA through ebay, the total I pay includes all charges. There is no reason why this functionality couldn't be part of the Massdrop checkout, and might even have saved me £8 in "handling charge" if the import tax had been pre-paid.
Received mine today. The cable doesn't work on the side that has the volume control... It's a cheap cable for sure and I'd expect yours to break eventually.
The earphones work, though, but can't say much about the quality.
Not big on the foam tips myself, but the ones that were standard fit well for me. It's a well appointed kit and better accessorized than any of the Shures (E3, SE215) that I have owned.

Ditto about receiving them the 28th, and pleasantly surprised at how quickly they shipped. I have to agree about build quality - these feel very durable, and they seem to have heavily reinforced the points that get the most flex and sweat. Sound quality was quite a bit better than I expected, but the fit is very nuanced. To get the best sound, you've really got to find the right tips for your ear shape. I was convinced that the right bud was underpowered until I adjusted the fit with the foam tip.
