Weighing in on the heavier side, the stands offer significant enough bulk to prevent any sort of slippage or sliding on your desk. Underneath the solid aluminum base is a soft pad to ensure that your surface doesn’t get scarred in the process. A contoured top section allows the headphone to rest in its natural shape to prevent deforming the headband, perfect for headphone brands with soft headbands such as AKG, Stax and Audeze. Out of the box, each stand is easily assembled within a few minutes and without any tools. Both stands feature adjustable heights from 11 to 14”.
