Woodlore’s Epic shoe tree prevents shoes from creasing while helping to maintain their shape. They feature an expandable crown with an adjustable toe cap, giving you control over width as well as length Read More
I have bought these same trees from China for $5 a pair. Yes exactly the same 'epic' model from China. I keep mentioning this everywhere. On Reddit someone actually tracked down the Woodlore container shipment from an Alibaba seller in China.
Nothing against Woodlore, but since this is Massdrop, shouldn't the community be arranging this from China instead of lining the pockets of established manufacturers? Yes thats how much these shoe trees cost in real life and I've bought them, its $5. They were never worth $59.99 or whatever sale Massdrop has going for them. Anything above $5 is retail and don't fool yourselves. Other normal models of shoe trees are even cheaper at $2.
Also lately this site has been looking like an upmarket Aliexpress or a drop-shipping portal. A lot of the products are 'meh' and don't really use the volume for any savings at all. Only to advertise things that don't sell, and at prices they don't deserve. This is the majority, but there (luckily) are a few exceptions.
Edit: there are a lot of exeptions. Not just a few. But lately it has been meh.
If you look at Surefire's first picture way down below, I had the same white, web-like stuff that spans the crevice between the toe pieces. I would be very surprised if that were part of the finish.
We are talking about different brands of shoe trees. If you take a look at iGrenade's and deva's comments, I was referring to "Ollieroo" shoe trees, which do run large.
You will be disappointed. It is difficult to stretch that area and you certainly won’t achieve it with properly sized shoe trees. You could try a shoe stretcher instead.
is this a joke? 35 + 15 shipping, plus long wait time? I can get two pairs of the same quality just without the woodlore badge on eBay for less than 45 shipped on the same business day.
massdrop is really disappointing these days.
iGrenadeNot saying this is a great deal. But I have bought many basic shoe trees from AE and Jos A Bank, which are made by Woodlore, and they are all the same sizes. I would not buy Ollieroo if the size varies that much. Return is always a hassle, even if it is free.
payodpandaWoodlore is having their Black Friday sale right now through November 26th, 30% off site wide. I use the boot trees and like them, they just have some problems fitting in my chelsea boots.
