Nice little amp but volume setting is weird.
This has to be the lightest xDuoo product I’ve had for a while. I expected it to have some heft but the power supply is an external power brick. The built is good.. Panels line up perfectly and there are no sharp edges. The volume knob is pretty light and doesn’t have the feel of the volume knobs they use on their portable DAC/amps. Other than that it sounds quite good for the asking price. Pairing it your phone is easy since it goes to pairing mode once you turn it on. Push the knob to turn on/off. I’m using a Shanling M3X as my source right now through the USB-C input. The volume calibration is off. You don’t hear anything till you hit around 70. It’s kinda strange to have to crank it up that high to get audible sound from it.

The headphone output is pretty good, I’m using an Audio Technica ATH-AD900x with it right now but will try my other headphones with it later. The mids are nice and clear. The bass is well controlled with good extension. The highs is good too but lacks detail. I haven’t connected speakers to it yet since I really just want to use it as a bedside DAC/amp. Overall, the DA-100 is a nice sounding amp. It’s only limitation is there are no other inputs other than BT and USB. An extra input or two would have made it a more versatile amp.

apchoustonOk, so it isn't just me. Same experience as yours with the volume pot, and same thought about one more input (rca is so basic that I did not even bother to check if it had one when I ordered). No matter, I've hooked it up to a chromecast audio with a usb c, and bluetooth also works well. Using it in my study and ran speaker cables to a sub as well. Haven't tried headphones yet. A little concerned about running it at 80-90% all the time, but given the returns complications, might just keep it.

apchoustonOne update: I can't get this to work with Chromecast Audio. The 3.5mm to usb-c adapter does not send any sound. This is probably a Chromecast Audio issue, because they stopped supporting it a long while back. Could anyone suggest a solution? Are there USB-C adapters out there that don't have a DAC built in? I think the Chromecast Audio DAC is unable to send audio to another DAC. (Having said all this, I should probably have posted this in Discussions).

kartikeya.sabooI’m not sure 3.5 mm to USB-C works because you need a power aside from just audio and the DA-100 takes digital signals through USB-C. The Chromecast Audio’s output is analog not digitaL you might want to try using your phone’s USB output to connect to the DA-100. But BT is more convenient.
