Easy to use tiny amp
I connected the DA-100 to my Mac Book Air via both Bluetooth and USB… the blue tooth connected VERY easily and quickly… and sounds surprisingly good. USB allows it to play more loudly but otherwise I don't really notice any real difference in quality. I have the little DA-100 connected to a pair of B&W Solid speakers. Sound is crisp and clean. Bass detail is not all that great but that is probably more a speaker issue than an amp issue… may try it later with my Dali Rubicon 2s just out of curiosity… Will be giving this little system as a gift to my sweetie for her soon to open new salon… you gotta have tunes!

Initial Review
I got a brand new DA-100 and hooked it up. The sound is good but as mentioned by others you have to crank up the volume knob to at least 60 for my speakers (Cambridge Soundworks Ensmeble III). Also, the headphone connection DOES NOT mute the speakers, so no fun listening to both at the same time. I've opened a "ticket" in Xduoo web site. Will see how fast they are responding to that headphone issues.

Nice little amp but volume setting is weird.
This has to be the lightest xDuoo product I’ve had for a while. I expected it to have some heft but the power supply is an external power brick. The built is good.. Panels line up perfectly and there are no sharp edges. The volume knob is pretty light and doesn’t have the feel of the volume knobs they use on their portable DAC/amps. Other than that it sounds quite good for the asking price. Pairing it your phone is easy since it goes to pairing mode once you turn it on. Push the knob to turn on/off. I’m using a Shanling M3X as my source right now through the USB-C input. The volume calibration is off. You don’t hear anything till you hit around 70. It’s kinda strange to have to crank it up that high to get audible sound from it.

The headphone output is pretty good, I’m using an Audio Technica ATH-AD900x with it right now but will try my other headphones with it later. The mids are nice and clear. The bass is well controlled with good extension. The highs is good too but lacks detail. I haven’t connected speakers to it yet since I really just want to use it as a bedside DAC/amp. Overall, the DA-100 is a nice sounding amp. It’s only limitation is there are no other inputs other than BT and USB. An extra input or two would have made it a more versatile amp.

apchoustonOne update: I can't get this to work with Chromecast Audio. The 3.5mm to usb-c adapter does not send any sound. This is probably a Chromecast Audio issue, because they stopped supporting it a long while back. Could anyone suggest a solution? Are there USB-C adapters out there that don't have a DAC built in? I think the Chromecast Audio DAC is unable to send audio to another DAC. (Having said all this, I should probably have posted this in Discussions).

kartikeya.sabooI’m not sure 3.5 mm to USB-C works because you need a power aside from just audio and the DA-100 takes digital signals through USB-C. The Chromecast Audio’s output is analog not digitaL you might want to try using your phone’s USB output to connect to the DA-100. But BT is more convenient.

Barely audible amplification...
...until you get to about 75/80% There is almost no sound till you turn the volume up to 70, and then it's audible. Seems strange to run an amplifier at almost full capacity (85%+) to get reasonable volume levels. (No, I'm not blasting death metal. Playing the new Van Morrison album and not looking to blast the house.) And I'm running this on 97db speakers, so definitely not hard to drive (I drive them usually with a 3wpc tube amp, no problem). Disappointed. Will update depending on xDuoo / Drop support.
