Why don't I buy the zippo Handwarmer from $amzn and use prime to get it in two days and then pay less than I would on this drop? Its like your business model is based on impulse buying and having nice curation.

So, does Amazon just watch massdrop like a hawk, and adjust its prices to be less, with free 2-day shipping to boot, or does massdrop just take us all for suckers who want to pay more, wait longer, and occasionally have our orders completely trashed?

You make fine points, so then, why did you attack me for sharing my point of view on this drop? (Though not as badly as ElectronicDevices straw-manning me--I never called anyone evil, nor do I identify with the class he is denigrating.)
I, and many others, appreciate others sharing info, especially competitive offers that our "research" may miss, in here. If you don't, don't read the comments section! ;-p Or continue to whinge, we'll continue to call out Massdrop on poor drops, and we'll all carry on as usual. At least we have not degraded to youtube-comments-section depravity! ...yet. :-D

I didn't know these existed. They seem pretty cool.
Unfortunately buying off of Amazon.ca ( http://www.amazon.ca/Zippo--Frame-Chrome-Warmer-Silver/dp/B00ABA08F6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386613475&sr=8-1&keywords=zippo+hand+warmers ) seems to be only 3 dollars more with free shipping. I may just end up buying it there as it will take less time to arrive.

Big update on Holiday shipping! We know this is the perfect gift for the holidays. So Zippo has put aside 300 x 2-packs for us, and those will ship in time for the holidays (Domestic). If more than 300 are ordered, Zippo and Massdrop will do our best to get them to you in time, but it will depend on Zippo's inventory levels which change drastically during the holiday season.
So keep sharing this drop!

Your only saving $8 over buying 2 of them from Amazon Canada (inc. HST and shipping). The last few drops I've participated in got charged duty, so I'm not sure if saving $8 if worth the risk again. I wish Massdrop would mark shipments goign to Canada as 'Gift', helps a lot to get it through customs without charges.

Agreed, Even for a Canadian resident Massdrop can have some pretty great savings every now and then, that aren't that big of a deal for USA residents.
Right now the cheapest you can get a Zippo hand warmer for on Amazon.ca is $23 + 10 shipping with Massdrop I was able to order 4 for $67.23 shipped... which is $85 CAD and ends up costing just $21.25 for each hand warmer.

Do not throw these in the bottom of a bivvy, and zip it over your head (against the direct recommendations of the instruction manual). You will end up with a case of acute carbon monoxide poisoning. Can personally attest.

Something is clearly wrong with MassDrop's International Shipping rate.
It's cheaper to ship a 4 lb projector than to ship a 3 oz Zippo to Canada.

Jonathan-Lethe rate is probably auto calculated system to system based on these jokers: http://www.asendiausa.com/ which Massdrop uses for shipping. Why they just don't use USPS or a courier I don't know. According to a tracking id I have my other package has spent the last 7 days in the USA. I've ordered from Amazon USA with free shipping and had it delivered to Canada in the same time...using USPS.
