So a couple of things. I have a dead couple pixels, the way the panel fits in the monitor overlaps the panel very slightly, also has a heat spot near the middle of the monitor that is very visible in a grey screen, and some pretty bad blacklight bleed. So Im pretty sure its not a grade "A" panel. Love the panel crisp 4k @ 60hz but ...still not the most satisfied.
I'm not sure if this panel really is A grade. It looks great, but there are some dead pixels i noticed immediately upon firing it up in the top right corner (image). the glass is also cracked there--maybe it was dropped at some point? Who knows about this one...
Howdy Everyone,
Just want to make sure everyone is clear about this monitor. It is a Samsung VA Grade A Panel. There is no brand name on this monitor as it is generic. The manufacturer of this display is ICB display and their model number is T9N-395AY. You can verify the information posted in this drop on their website here. http://icbdisplay.com/4k-monitor-led-pc-flat-model-t9n-395ay/. Massdrop is not trying to hide anything from the community or mislead in anyway. We would never do that.
Cheers.
Tex-ArozziStill not a A+ panel, that goes into the top branded screens. And yeah, it did look like you weretrying to hide the manufacturer, I mean how difficult was it to add ICB brand and monitor model number to the drop description from the start? Furthermore, it took multiple requests to state the manufacturer and a bunch of people leaving the drop (it went from 20 purchased to 10) for you to finally come and say who made this screen. Just think about how it looks like from the point of view of someone who doesn't work for MD.
This looks a lot like an AOC monitor that I briefly had, it had some of the worst ghosting I have ever seen. I might be wrong but I think it is the same one.
slobamaNice job, but ICB is probably just taking a third party manufactured product and selling it under their brand name, MD is prolly doing the same, just no admitting anything lol
G-Man_MKIIOf course not, it's a no-name monitor, i.e. produced by an small-scale chinese or korean manufacturer to be sold under various generic brand-names.
