Just received mine and I’m honestly really disappointed. The colour is no where near close to the picture. I ordered Glazed Buffalo Calf Leather in Brown and what’d i got was a brown so dark it’s practically black. On top of that, the glued seem around the ID window is completely unglued right out of the box. For the price I paid I’m not expecting amazing quality but I do expect it to be the colour as advertised and properly assembled from the start. Maybe I got a bad batch or something but if I can’t return it I’ll probably just donate it and find something better.

Although I had requested this drop to come back, and placed my order on the 6th of May, on 13 May, Drop cancelled my order “due to back orders”. An hour or so after I received the cancellation email, I ordered directly from A&H and received my Leather Front Pocket Wallet today (EDIT: 17 May), for only $2 more than the Drop price. I don’t know what happened, but I’ve got my wallet, so I’m happy. Not a wallet or leather connoisseur, I just needed a low profile way to carry a ID, plastic, and few bucks easily because an accident left my flexibility and strength lacking (getting in and out of my back pockets is a chore right now). Seems like this is exactly the product that I need. It is thin leather (which I expected) but as long as it doesn’t get a hole rubbed through it, or the stitches don’t pop, it will be fine. My only disappointment comes from where this piece was manufactured. I was thinking this was a small leather working company in the U.S., not an importer. While this doesn’t reflect on the product, as a Veteran, it actually made me a little sad. Packaging was decent, a bubble envelope containing a small custom printed cardboard box with the product inside, with the wallet being wrapped in customized tissue paper. Cute touch. Also contained a sticker and business card w/ discount code. Overall decent for the price, as long as it lasts.

Mikes_VicesThank you for your full review. We’d like to try and address some of the questions. We don’t list all our product availability on Massdrop (Drop). We have our own site and need to keep some inventory available for those orders. We purposefully use a factory in India due to the access to some of the best materials. It’s a smaller factory and does some of the best name brand wallets as well. I think you’ll find the quality up to par, especially for the price, being that it is full grain leather. Should last a long time. If it needs to be cleaned, we recommend water and a soft cloth (steer clear of soaps and / or chemicals, of course). AHLEATHERAppreciate your response. I really am enjoying the wallet 3 months in (I actually just had another surgery on one of my hands, making a small form factor wallet even better). It looks good and has been perfect for my needs. As far as where it came from, quality is quality, and I do find this product well worth the money, it is just that based on the company description, I had assumed that I was ordering from a shop who was actually crafting the pieces in America. Not a deal breaker...I buy goods from all over the world quite often, just unexpected, and as I said, a little disappointing.

@ASpatha here are two. It is open on two sides (one long and one short) and is gusseted on the other short, allowing for some expansion depending on what you put in.

I ordered mine directly from A&H Leather's website for considerably less. In fact, when Massdrop adds shipping (in comparison to A&H's free shipping), it's only $0.51 cheaper than full price. And if you just browse around A&H Leather's website for 2 minutes or so, you get a discount code to get it for cheaper than Massdrop. And it ships immediately. Essentially, Massdrop isn't doing anything at all to negotiate a lower rate for us here. Massdrop is just another marketplace where A&H sells their products. I don't blame A&H Leather for doing this at all--but I blame Massdrop for not doing their job at leveraging any meaningful group discount.

Nate88We do offer a 1 time discount to each customer, if they opt in to our marketing emails. So thank you. I believe the discount has to be greater than 15% to get the price lower than MD, even with shipping. Without that discount, massdrop is decently cheaper and we ensured that. We also won’t be running that “discount code” forever. It’s a short terms trial we have to help market our products post-purchase. Thanks for the purchase. AHLEATHERThanks! Massdrop was going to charge me so much for shipping to the LA area plus sales tax that it was in the end only $.51 cheaper from Massdrop than your full price, shipped, from your website. I ran the numbers. Even a 3% discount from your site would have been cheaper than massdrop.
Like I said, not faulting you guys. I can't wait for my new wallet to get here!!
