It's easy and pretty good.
The sound pressure is higher than when you insert the earphone directly into your smartphone. I felt that the resolution was slightly increased. I was a little disappointed because "MK2" came out soon after I bought this.

They worked well until one day the lightning connector broke. The main reason I got this was to have a more durable lightning dac than the apple one. I think it's more of a problem with lightning connectors in general. They're just not strong enough. I think I want a separate small dac with a replacable lightning to usb c or something next.

They're fine I guess, but don't behave well with my Pixel 2
It does as it's supposed to: gives you a headphone out where your USB-C port is. Sound quality and power output is nothing special. They're stylish, assuming you're the type of person that likes the whole braided cable look. To be honest, I had my reservations after reading back through and noticing that it's a Realtek chip (which is what like every consumer laptop uses) I think I was right to have those reservations. They do as they're supposed to, but I don't think the sound quality justifies the premium price. Especially since, at least on the Pixel 2 that I had at the time, the dongle falls asleep or something if you leave it paused for more than like 30 seconds, meaning you have to unplug it and put it back in which I don't like having to do more than once a day. I'd honestly recommend even the $10 Apple Dongle over this.

Does a great job!
Bought these for my iPhone without a headphone jack and they worked perfectly. Now they stay with my Tin T3 and they match with the cable really well.

Worked well but...
It worked well, but one of the wires came loose. It didn't seem to affect the performance but it made the product seem shabby.

Nice looking but apparently cheaply built.
Worked fine with light use. I then walked for a about an hour with my phone in my front pocket, listening to a podcast. The next time I tried to do the same, I found that this adapter would alternately raise the volume to max, or stop the playback, if the cord was bent in a particular direction. This would happen constantly due to the typical rhythm of walking, rendering it unusable. It's a shame, it's a handsome product, with a supple cable. I would have loved to have kept using it.
