Come on, feel the noise! One of the smaller models in Alto Professional’s Black Series, the Black 10 delivers a total continuous power rating of 1,200 watts and a peak rating of twice that—pretty impressive for a 10-inch loudspeaker. The rugged plywood cabinet is extremely portable (thanks in part to the lightweight Class D amplification and switch-mode power supply) and tough enough for your touring rig, with a textured-paint finish, powder-coated steel grille, and custom-molded handle for easy lifting. Best of all? You can control it from across the room—heck, across the whole club—using the free Live Drive app.
Note: This drop’s base price is for the Alto Professional Black 10. At checkout, you’ll be able to upgrade to the Black 12 (+ $90).
Designed to produce a 90- to 60-degree coverage pattern, the drivers comprise a 10-inch woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil and a 1.75-inch HF driver feeding a 1-inch throat horn. DSP is used to provide any necessary crossover and driver protection functions, as well as time alignment and a number of EQ response curves. Ground-lift switches are fitted, as well. The simple built-in mixer can accept one mic/line input and one line-only input, each with its own level control, and one XLR output is available to feed additional speakers. Used without a sub, the Black 10 has a frequency response of 51 Hz to 20 kHz and a max SPL of 131 dB at 3.3 feet.
