Ridiculously good!
I bought two of these along with the ATH-DAC100 (I wish it had balanced outs). These are that good. If anyone ever was sceptical of 'musicality' as a term to describe sound, they haven't heard this Amp yet. Everything about this is well built, well considered and designed. The outputs are a dream with dual volume controls for Balanced and Unbalanced outs! Haven't tube rolled these, so cannot comment on that, but I think this is the best tube hybrid I have tried so far. I have the Schiit Valhalla 2, iFi Pro iCAN as well as the Vali 2 and I prefer the AT-BHA100 over those. Save up and get this!

All around beast however there is one major problem....
this amp is just stellar nothing less but for $999 idk if that is a good price for this amp if this was 100 to 200 dollars cheaper this would be in a league of it's own if you can get this for cheaper i'd say go for it but right now i would say wait or bite the bullet either way you will be satisfied with the product itself. side note: i would strongly recommend doing some research with what dac you pair this amp with i have this paired up with a soncoz sgd1 and the sound is very interesting but i feel this isn't at it's best form if you can get this with the dac that is meant to go with this amp i would say go all in but be careful with what you pair this with.

Omg
This little amp is pure audiophile. Everything is butter and it's not even burned in. Great separation and synergy. Highly recommended.

I have a W5000 and found that the best amp pairing for that was the HA5000. I also have the ADX5000 and it doesn't have that magical pairing with the HA5000. As such, I got the BHA100 in hopes that it fits with the ADX5000 as the HA5000 fits the W5000. Regardless of my intentions, I am willing to attest that BHA100 has an excellent pairing with ADX5000 when compared to things like the Xduoo TA-20 and the ifi iCan Pro. The BHA100 mostly rolls off the potential sharpness of the ADX5000 while pushing the vocals just a bit more forward for that Audio Technica flavor you see in things like their Air Series whereas something like the iCan Pro is pretty sharp sounding (unless tube mode is on) and the vocals are more pushed back. I am also quite smitten with the ability to connect multiple headphones at once and swap between the selection (1 XLR or 4.4mm to 2 SE with each SE getting their own volume knob) . For a future product, I would love for each balanced out to have their own volume knob as well. I do have one odd complaint though. In my playtesting, I have one song that has issues when played through the balanced inputs of the amp (in this case, noticeable static). In no other song I tried, in no other balanced amp I tried, in no other input I tried (i.e., RCA from same DAC), have I had this issue. It's so strange. On one hand, it's only one song I found the issue out of hours of playing random songs. On the other hand, what if there are other songs that has the same issue? As a work around when using the balanced inputs (again, no issue when going the RCA inputs), I found that switching my DAC (Pioneer U-05) from line mode to pre-amp mode and reducing the signal removes the static. However, I still wonder why this amp was the only amp to experience this problem.

IllogicalOrderMaybe the output of your dac is running too high of a voltage for the input of this amp. That song was probably causing clipping, hence why lowering the volume of the dac mitigated it.

Fantastic amp in balanced mode especially with planar headphones.
Received it in June from Drop and was very pleased. I am using the Grace Balanced DAC, the Denafrips Aries II DAC, and the Merason Frerot DAC all in balanced mode. I have tried the Audeze EL-8, the Mr Speaker Ether CX, and the SONY MDR-7z all with a Balanced cable. It sound excellent with wide sound stage good accuracy and good bass. I listen to jazz, classical, bluegrass, western swing, and country rock. All sounded great with this amp. very pleased.

This is the best sounding hybrid amp I've heard. I've been using it as primary amp on my desk during work, and it's been very enjoyable. The matching DAC (AT-DAC100) pairs really well with it.
