FWIW, the green on my scales has much less yellow that what is shown in the picture. I feel that the color of mine is much more pleasant that what is shown here.

I was told that they were backordered. After an already long leadtime, I may just cancel and buy elsewhere.

I opened the email, saw the picture of this knife and nearly screamed. That is a truly ugly knife, even for only $50. Wow!

Why does Bestech hate lefties? Ever notice that none of the Bestech knives on Massdrop have an option for a left handed clip position?

They mass produce these things, it costs more to make changes for such a small segment of the market. Obviously it would be ideal to have two options, and it would be smart to start with an ambidextrous design, but the reality is it just doesn't pay to retool for ~%10 of the population.

Many other companies are mass producing their knives and they still add lefty options. Only think I can think to do is vote with my wallet and complain so that hopefully someone will hear me.

RED. I chose red and Black option because it seems like my grown up action figure accessories are color coded as such; ie, canondale bicycle, vape gear, etc. I’m excited because I’ve been enjoying the razor profile as of late. Last one was the gerber something or other. Had to reprofile to 17'. Share your color choice and say why if you choose

I got the green one. The only reason that I can come up with was that green was my favorite color when I was growing up. Long before it was ecologically correct. A major crisis in my early adolescence was the time that I spilled ketchup on my two green pillows. Don't ask me about the reason they were with me at the table. (It's like Linus and his blue blanket.) I have actually grown to like this knife a lot.

I am a fairly decent freehand knife sharpener and can get anything hair shaving sharp including d2, but In my experience it sucks ass at edge retention. I can cut a 3/8" piece of poly tubing and it goes dull. I prefer s35vn it holds an edge for a long while yet its easier to sharpen than s30v. I hate them! I hate all the d2 in the whole wide world!

You must have only experienced really badly hardened D2. Properly heat treated (62-63 HRC) D2 will hold an edge better than pretty much anything other than 189. S35VN does not come close for edge retention.

Nothing US made at this price point will be even half as well built. The US does not do midtechs under ~$200, and even those are rare.
