For the price point I was not expecting anything spectacular and that's exactly what I got, they don't hurt to listen to even thought the fit is questionable. Sound is uninspiring but don't expect to get world class sound from a sub-50$ product. They are well built but just clunky.
I have been using BL-O3s for a while now at work and seeing these I had to jump on them. After a break in period the low end is noticibly punchier with the IEMs being wider and more relaxed compared to the BL-O3. The mids are a bit lacking compred to the 03 but if all you listen to is EDM or instrumental music pick the MAX'es over the 03 any day of the week. (I am using Dekoni memory foam tips on both !!!)
Sound aside these feel really well built. Some people complained about them feeling heavier but I personally dont notice. The cable is a huge step up over the 03's. It is absolutely pin straight, soft and does not tangle like the individual strand wire 03's came with. I personally also find these more comfortable when it comes to fit in my ears, with 03's my ears got a bit irritated after 2 or so hours.
Overall you wont be disapointed spending 30$ on these. If you are in the market for cheap IEM's with a nice low end these are your pick.
The bass is there, the clarity is there, and the cable is fantastic. Had no issues with the sounds no need for tuning and with foam ear tips it sounds much better.
I just purchased BL-03, and I was surprised to find the same problem. Sounds great when I push them in, but I must have fat pinnae or something. Foam tips didn't help. No probs with T2, tho. Thank you for posting
