Jaysbobreviews on head fi are putting them in the 2-3x the price you paid range for SQ and build quality, be glad, the M5's arent as well made as the jives, for example(a buddy of mine has gone threw 4 pairs under warr, its always one ear or the other that gives out..he uses them when working and i think its stress on the cables, told him to get a set of jives after reading Dragon2Knights review of them on head-fi(he tried to break them in a "normal use" kinda way and couldnt.....many other sets hes tested did not survive the same tests...
eyah sucks it took time, but, hey, you got some nice iem's that are well made and once burned in, are said to be the brainwavz b2's little brother....thats quite an endorcement considering how beloved the b2 is by many people.
