I just got my mic and I have been fiddling around with it all day. Everytime I record, I get noise/grain in the background. I made sure there is nothing to disrupt my mic (EX: computer fan, house noise, A/C, etc). And I've also tried recording it in different programs as well (EX: Adobe premiere, Audacity and even Adobe Audition) and nothing seems to work. It's also not very loud, even if I put my face against the pop-filter - nothing seems to work. I've tried different settings, positions, etc. I can add "Noise removal" in post, but doing that doesn't solve my problem completely. I also tried seeing if it was the USB cable and switched it out - that did not work. Then I used my Blue snowball mic to see if it was just my speakers/headphones, but the quality on that was fine with 0% and better quality (AND THATS A $50 MIC). I looked around forums, but nothing seemed to help...I dont know if you guys would know, but if anyone has a idea what's going on / what I can do to fix this, I would love to know.
Thanks!
SymmetryhdThat is interesting...
I will play around with the one I have here and see if I can replicate what you're experiencing. Also, let me reach out to CAD and see if they might have a suggestion or two.
Thanks for letting us know and for joining the drop!
SymmetryhdThis your Blue Yeti, not the CAD GXL2600?
I reached out to them as well and they should have a reply posted shortly.
Please check back later!
SymmetryhdThanks for the info - We are attempting to reproduce your anomaly - I know our VP Engineering was going to dig in deeper to replicate your signal path. Stay tuned to your emails. FYI a few reviews are about to hit - they are all positive from reliable industry folk. And I beta tested it with a few VO folks - Myself included - I loved it so much - I couldn't stop using it.
SeanReidno, no. This is just a video I found that best represents what my mic is sounding like with the static noise. I've troubleshooted every possible option that I know of atm.
CADAudioYeah, I like the mic too! Just I can't get rid of the static - I've contacted CAD support and they are talking with me as well. I was in the process of making a Review video on the GXL2600 - but then I encountered this problem when I started to record. If I can get it fixed, I can resume making the video so I can post it up on my channel.
Thanks for your help. Hopefully we can fix this problem :)
SymmetryhdAbsolutely!
We appreciate the information and the support, if there is anyone else encountering the same issue hopefully this will help them as well.
Blazin_Asian17I can deal with it being quiet..and I did manage to make it a bit louder. I can always fix that in post - but this static noise is something that shouldn't be happening...
Thanks!
