8 Balanced Armatures to Optimize All Frequencies
CCA’s newest IEM is called CS16 for good reason. It features an impressive eight balanced armatures per earbud, for a grand total of 16 drivers. There’s a rhyme and reason to this large number: each driver handles a certain area of the frequency spectrum. A dual-row 22955 unit handles low frequencies, a dual-row 29689 unit takes care of mids, two 31736 units cover mid-highs, and a dual-row 30017 unit articulates high frequencies. This impressive array enables the CS16 to deliver highly detailed sound across all types of audio. Outside of the drivers, a hand-woven silver-plated cable ensures excellent signal transmission, while CNC-machined aluminum housings with resin shells optimize comfort and durability.
