Mine arrived damaged (all three hands not affixed), had to send to manufacturer for repairs. Away for a month, returned with the first problem fixed but with a new one (part of the face had lifted and was stopping the hands from moving). Sent again for repairs. Cannot comment on the timekeeping as I haven't had the watch in working order yet.
While I was worried about build quality, my son, a Russophile and budding horophile, loves it. He's had none of the issues that others have had with imprecise timekeeping. He's getting +/- 1 minute/day. The build quality seems solid, especially compared to other Russian watches (I used to collect Vostoks and other 24-hour Soviet watches). Shipping was fine, as well.
I am surprised. After i read the reviews here, i thought that i will be really disapointed. But i am not. Watch is delivered today in Slovakia, really nice ( no replica) all as described. Only the packaging could be nicer...
I don't think that my experience with this watch has been quite as bad as the other reviewers', however, I still wouldn't consider it good. While I like the aesthetic, it is just too poor in other ways to justify its price. This became apparent to me within days of daily use. Foremost, it does not keep time as well as I want it to, drifting about five minutes each day. That's not as bad as some have experienced, but it's not good enough to be what I would consider low-maintenance. The band is quite stiff, though that should subside, and it is not uncomfortable to wear. The clasp is stamped "steel", but it feel a lot like plastic to me (it could just be a coating). The minute and hour hands are glow-in-the-dark/luminescent, but they don't glow very well at all, even after minutes under a flashlight. This watch just suffers too heavily in the functionality department, which is why cannot recommend this watch to anyone, especially with so many other options around. Such a shame for an attractive timepiece.
I followed all directions and it still will not keep time properly.
I went to a professional clock repair store nearby and he looked at it and said, "I hope you didn't pay more than 20-30 dollars for it?"
He said the parts they use in these watches are sub-par. He would not open it fearing the mechanism was too frail to even look at.
I have had to adjust the time each day, not good.
Also, the clasp is so short, it gets caught in the loop all the time.
It is a beautiful looking watch, so sad, I AM RETURNING IT...
