I've had this watch for a good 13 or so years. The problem I had was the crystal sits a bit above the bezel. In three drops, both maybe just over a foot (separate events), the face shattered. Almost no force at all. Yup, don't drop your watch... but one that breaks so easily (even if it keeps ticking) seems a bit flawed. After the third drop, it's sat in a box in my closet for a few years.
BlueTomIt's an actual photo from my personal collection of every NATO and Zulu strap known to mankind.
Accordingly, I'll be thrilled to see what strap you've selected, once you buy this watch.
I have this watch and it has been running strong for 11 years. I wore it pretty much every day for 8 years and it is quite durable. The strap however is a little on the small size for those that have big wrists.
I have one of these watches, pretty good for what it is, but there are a few functional aspects I would change if I could. The chrono second hand has a lumed tip but the actual second hand (6 o’clock subdial) is unlumed. I would also reduce the size of the Citizen logo and move the text at 9 o’clock to the caseback, the dial is busy enough as it is. Otherwise, a pretty good watch.
I like a lot of Citizen's watches but this illustrates an annoyance with me. How do you make a 39mm watch with hands that are still far too short? It is turning into a trademark with them.
