The perfect watch for fleet week—or, pretty much any week—the Citizen World Chronograph A-T solar watch has so much function it’s silly. To list everything you could use it for would take too long, but some highlights include the perpetual calendar, power-reserve indicator, 1/20th-second chronograph, and a movement with 26 time zones that’s synchronized to an atomic time clock Read More
rhombusYes, you can get a NATO strap for this watch. The lug-width is 23mm, an unconventional size, but you can still find 23mm straps or any 22mm will work almost as well.
I own this watch (on the blue strap) and it's fantastic. Takes a few minutes to set it up, but the solar power is great (has an auto shut down in the dark, so it conserves the charge when stored), atomic timekeeping is always spot on, day/date/chrono/power reserve functions work well, and world time zones are simple to use. A favorite for travel due to the easy time zone changes. If you like blue and yellow, get it.
I just bought this watch today from Timepiece.com for $292.43. I used their $20 coupon. Free shipping, no tax, 1-5 year warranty. I already have a USPS Priority Mail tracking number. I love MD but their prices are often too high. When they are I have no problem with getting a better deal.
my only non-automatic movement watches are these eco-drive citizen watches. I absolutely love them for being very practical, function-rich, solid and also handsome. The titanium one to the left is what I wear daily. It’s truly feather weight. Have not seen it for sale in the US. The steal one on the right is a certifiable boat anchor but still love it.
I have this watch and it is a fantastic everyday watch. The internal slide rule bevel rocks a bit when you turn it (really common on these types of watches) but it was never a deal breaker for me. I use the E6B type slide rule watches when I travel for converting miles/klm, gallons/liters, and set the currency exchange for quick reference. The internal type of E6B is bit harder to read but the watch is a great tool as well as just a good time keeper. Although my favorite version of the Blue Angels watch is still the Promaster A-T JY8078-01L
