the placement of the macros look stupid, the branding also looks stupid. and the style of the keyboard looks really ugly. cougar should not be making keyboards

having macro keys at the top of the keyboard seems pretty pointless to me, it's way out of reach

It seems like you drop one full-size keyboard for every 20 tenkeyless keyboards. I've been waiting months for one. This one is definitely not what I was looking for though. No switch choice, no backlighting and a very unreasonable shipping price to anywhere outside the US. I hope that you can do better in the future.

You might feel that they are good for you but they are objectively worse for gaming than other gaming oriented keyboards. The Cougar has awkward placement for the macro keys and no backlighting, the Code keyboard is openly advertised as a programmer keyboard and its only feature that can be helpful for gaming is the backlighting, which only comes in white.

SocksAttackThe only criteria I can think of that is "objectively" better for gaming is 6KRO+. How are "gaming oriented" (read: marketed) keyboards better for gaming than those that are for marketed for programmers?
The original Razor Blackwidow, a "gaming oriented" keyboard, had MX Blue switches, which most would (subjectively) consider to be the worst for gaming. Having tried all the readily available Cherry mechanical key switches on the market, I would say that (subjectively) Brown and Clear switches are the best for gaming and typing.
As for the other features, I bet most people who have those macro keys on their keyboards never use them. Backlighting doesn't help you game anymore than a window side panel with LEDs on the case. If you regularly need to look down at your keyboard, during gameplay, to find the right key you probably shouldn't be gaming with keyboard/mouse in the first place.

shipping is just way too much, otherwise this is exactly what I have been looking for from massdrop for ages. A nice full size gaming oriented keyboard that is cheap enough I don't mind taking a chance on it sight unseen.
