Is the Linum cable worth it? If so, what about the T2 vs. MMCX? T2 is Linum's standard and few other IEM producers seem to have adopted it. Is there anything compelling about it? If not, wouldn't MMCX be better choice since Westone and Shure make IEMs using it, so there will always be replacment cable options out there?
Many thanks in advance for your thoughts/opinions.
D3DistractedI'm trying to decide on connector type as well. I've never really heard of T2 before and have looked around to see what sort of cables are available in the market utilizing the T2 connector. Sadly, it appears to be a proprietary socket. So my pick would be between the 2 Pin and the MMCX. I've personally have had little trouble from my 2 2 Pin earphones and 2 MMCX that I own. So can go either way. People out there do seem to prefer 2 Pin however...
D3DistractedAccording to a quick search on headfi, someone reviewed a bunch of cables and rated Effect Audio cables fairly poorly including their higher Odin models. I was also thinking about upgrading the cable but I think the Linum cable will suffice for now (it's also quite reasonably priced) and you can upgrade later on. The same post gave the Null Audio Lune cables excellent reviews and I think I'll go with those instead later.
Many thanks in advance for your thoughts/opinions.
