I have some idea to improve on these @Will Since they are just K7XX & you already have 2 models it pointless to release them as K7XX even though I love the color. 1st. As they will spend most of there life on a headphone stand on in a box packaging can be no frills plan Drop branded Cardboard like other products, just foam inside. 2nd. Driver/Sound update K712 is similar enough yet also consistently better sounding (no offense) So use the K712 drivers & change the name to K71X (or K7XX - Special Edition if that's cheaper to just change the printed txt on them), there is no need to change further from a driver swap, other than maybe a pad change.. (unrelated suggestion to Drop line) The Driver change really is the important selling factor here because if you just re-release K7XX then no one needs to re-review them nor consider them over older second hand K7XX. While the same can be said "it's just a K712" They will all jump at the change & chance to try to prove its more than the K7XX & K712, or less than the K7XX & K712 e.t.c.
3rd. The cable keep the color, But change the plug to a 4pin mini XLR & include a Balanced cable to match THX product. This here alone is also a selling point! This will grab attention of everyone in audio review industry. (Easy cheap change) *Or separate plugs each side. (updated to match competition X3's) - This is best *Or remove the plug & have it hardwired 4 wires, with a "knot" so you don't pull the wires off the solder. Either way the ability to plug & play with a 4pin XLR cable is a must! Balanced product! Novelty selling point you cannot do (without lots & lots of work) to the current line up. As for a normal Plug 3.5mm/6.3mm cable, While there is a "need" there is another way, 4pin xlr female to 6.3mm TRS adapter. Either way if you ever do release these, This is how they will end up when I get a hold of them!
