What's all this rubbish about split bezels on a non-GMT watch? The point was to differentiate AM hours from PM hours, not to necessarily know what time it was in Buenos Aries, East Bumfuck, or where-ever the hell else you came from. Yes, it requires manual input, and no, it's not as though everyone needed that function all the time, but it was sufficient for the occasion and application it was intended for.
