Warmer than woolie blanket in cold night
Warmth is the key word. Not muddy. Highs still extend well and bass is punch enough. The sound is so mellowy and warm without being muddy, the sound is so delicious in certain genres especially jazz with vocals. FWX1 has got quite interesting flavour to it and I enjoy it a lot. Having said that I find the IEMs a little large for my ears affecting comforts somewhat, I'm deducting one star.

A nice Woody
A Solid and warm IEM that gives a very unique timbre via the wood. Not a great all rounder but as a specialist it can be very different and enjoyable at times. If you enjoy your music to be rendered rich and reverberant this is for you.

Such an interesting IEM.
I've had these little things for several months now and they've become quite a staple for me. They're my primary OTG grab when I want a little, but not all, isolation. I got a nice little case that fits them and a Qudelix 5k. The included case is fine for the IEMs, but not much else. My phone has no jack, so I need a tiny receiver in there. I went with the small geekria IEM case. $11 and works perfect with HA-FWX1, Qudelix 5k, a usb-c to usb-c cable just in case it dies, and additional tips for people not my size (I have 3 kids and a wife, they sometimes use my stuff). On first listen they were about as I expected from reviews. Which is not great. They sound rather muddy and sloppy yet somehow all of the detail is still there. With some EQ these little things just make me smile with well recorded acoustic music and are totally acceptable otherwise. They are just a smooth listen once settled where I seem to prefer them. The highs are really tricky to get right though. I still tweak settings when certain tracks come on that are already sibilant. At this point it's a lack of trust though as they aren't bad, but they get there rather quickly with certain EQ adjustments so I still question it a bit. Anyway... Another oddity about these is that they leak sound like crazy. They are small drivers so the actual volume isn't super loud, but the same level comes out both sides of these things. If you're in a bed next to someone at night, they'll hear whatever you're listening to. Which I experienced just last night with my wife. Settled into a hotel bed, figured I'd get some tunes in with these things since I had them. Within 10 seconds she's tapping me "I can hear that music completely. I thought your in ear headphones were noise canceling for everyone else?" "Yeah... not these." Luckily as a headphone fan I did have another option with me, but I didn't expect it per se. I wasn't listening loud at all. So I'm giving these a fairly high score, for myself. I would not recommend them to someone that doesn't already own several pairs of headphones/IEMs, however. But if you do, strongly consider these at <$200. They're super interesting and very enjoyable. I have no fit problems, but I am running one size up on the right vs the left. They stay in my ears just fine even while walking. I did add a shirt clip as well because I do walk with them fairly regularly and it significantly reduces shirt and thump noises if the cable has a little slack up top. The cable is fantastic on these as well. I actually can't think of any headphone stock cable I prefer in feel/use/tangle. They're great. I only gave it a four on comfort because they do stick out quite a lot and require some adjustment to not constantly hit some part of my ear, but it's not terrible. Just annoying on occasion.

Just received it this morning.
Listening to it for 4 hours with HipDAC3 connecting V30, and this is exactly what I've been looking for. Very deep bass, fully warm, soft in high range. The units are a little bit heavy, so I'm trying to find an over-ear cable with a mic for playing PS5 with it. The sound is so perfect for me. I also ordered MEZE 99 Noir, and I've received it too, but it sounds a little too bright for me, so I was disappointed a little, but I'm so happy with FWX1. Best wooden in-ear I've ever had. Bass monster
It's a bargain at the current reduced price. First, this has an unashamedly bass-centric tuning. Double bass and kick drums really have impact and dynamics not commonly seen in IEMs. Secondly, this does result in a trade-off in high-frequency energy and midrange clarity. Thankfully, the trade-off is reasonable and there is still reasonable clarity and treble to avoid a sound that is muddy or rolled-off in the highs. I didn't find it bad out of the box, but some run-in is definitely required, as well as a decent source / headamp. I think it makes an excellent IEM to keep in your rotation, but I would avoid it as an all-rounder or daily driver.

Bass Bass Bass
When I put them on for the first time, right away it felt like I had my head under water. Everything was muddy, distant, that is, compared to the balanced and detailed IEMs I was listening to, moments before. So I let them run for a day, and when I tried them again, the bass seemed to have improved nicely, and the mids and highs had found their place. Like most reviewers state, they are bassy, but once you get used to the sound, they are actually pretty interesting. Not for every occasion and every style, but definitely a good addition to my headphone collection. Like someone else mentioned, I would have been pissed if I had paid the full asked price. But for the price I got them, I am satisfied. Edit: As far as comfort goes, they are not a great fit for my ears. The way they are shaped, I tend to feel them more than I wished. I might have to experiment more with different tips. Also, I tried them this morning with the Oppenheimer score, and they sounded amazing. I feel I will need to explore more along the instrumental/classical genres with these IEMs.

Very nice for the reduced price.
For less than $200, a very solid IEM/earbud. Good bass, clarity and fun.
