Drop Keycap Mystery Box – Series 3

They said the third time’s a charm. For our Mystery Box, the third time is so good, it’s getting a second act. That’s right: Series 3 of our Mystery Box is coming again—with nearly all of the same potential prizes, plus a few new additions. It’s the same great enthusiast gift that sold out (oversold!) on its first go-around—now refreshed and sure to sell out again. Series 3 (round two) boxes are currently being built, and each one will feature two full (base) keycap sets: one from the MT3, DCX or GMK collections, and one from the Skylight or Artifact Shield collection. Each box will also include a premium desk mat, as well as a set of switches (ranging from 70- to 110-count) from popular styles like Cherry, Holy Panda, Halo, Kaihua, and Everglide. As with previous mystery boxes, the combined MSRP value of the items in each box will exceed $200.

What is the price?

Each box is $99.

How is this different from the last Mystery Box run?

Boxes will now contain two keycap sets, minimum 70pc set of switches, and one premium desk mat.

Can I buy multiple boxes?

The run is limited to 2 boxes per customer.

Can I get duplicates in the boxes?

You can't get the same item in the same box. If you buy multiple boxes, you may get duplicates. It is unlikely (but possible) to get two identical boxes.

What kind of products are in the boxes?

You can expect keycaps from the MT3, DCX, GMK, Artifact Shield and Skylight series.

Switches are from Cherry, Holy Panda (and Holy Panda X), Halo, Everglide, and Kaihua.

Premium desk mats are from the various in-stock offerings on our site.

What is the expected value of the box?

The MSRP of the contents within each box is over $200.

Are the contents just old sets and old inventory from years past?

No. We have mostly included sets that are in circulation and NOT “dead” inventory from years prior. All of the products included in the boxes have at least a 4/5 star rating (at time of packaging) from previous Drop.com purchasers.

Is this a grab bag of loose keycaps?

No. All the items within the box are kits and not loose keycaps. This is not a grab bag of random individual keycaps that will be hard to put together.

Why only 500 boxes?

It takes quite a bit of time to assemble, check and pack the boxes of keycaps. If there is significant demand, we'll open the run for more sales but we'll also set a later ship date on the incremental sales.
