Headfonics review of the DK-4001

"Quite a lot of hybrid signatures out there give a solid focus on a high-contrasting sound between the bass and highs to produce a ton of excitement. The DK-4001 plows a different path with a more balanced tuning. It a real grower and gets some sold playback time with my neutral DAPs."
Had anyone tried both DK3001 Pro and DK4001? I'm sure that I've seen somewhere that DK3001 Pro is the overall better, even without considering the price.
derzulyaYMMV, I have spent a lot of time with both, and barring price, I'd roll with -4001 every day and twice on Sundays. Yes, form a price to performance POV, 3001 wins. But for me, if $$ not an issue, I'd choose 4001. My (worthless) 2 cents.
I tried dunu Zen last week and I was impressed. Didn't try Dunu DK-4001 though. So it would be unfair to comment without hearing this. But I can't help about Zen. The fits, the look, the cables and of course the sound is fantastic. By all means it is not perfect but some reason they are so addictive.
The 2020 factory direct, Black Friday sale messed up all of my purchasing plans. I guess MSRP ($899) minus (almost) $90 worth of reward points is about as good as it's going to get, for another 9.75 months.
Now if Drop were to bring us the Dunu Zen (MSRP ($699.99) minus (almost) $150 in reward points), I would be in.
