Combining dynamic drivers and balanced armatures is a method many manufacturers use to maximize sonic detail. In Dunu’s new DK4001 IEM, this method is taken to its full potential with premium components. Each earphone in the DK4001 features one 13.5-millimeter, beryllium-diaphragm dynamic driver for bass and mid frequencies, plus four Knowles balanced armatures to handle the highs with impressive density. Alongside this formidable driver configuration, an ACIS acoustic system gets even more out of the low end by optimizing airflow, while lightweight zirconium alloy housings effectively suppress harmonics to all but eliminate acoustic distortion. To ensure excellent signal transmission, each pair of DK4001 earphones is outfitted with a high-purity Furutech OCC-and-silver mixed cable.
