A great pair of all-rounders from Korea’s Dynamic Motion, the DM008K IEMs stand out for their colorful sound, excellent noise isolation, and lightweight but rugged aluminum housing—finished in glossy gold and black. Inside, the 8-millimeter dynamic driver is equipped with a strong neodymium ring magnet and a PEI film diaphragm for high-resolution audio and emphasized bass Read More
I'm certainly no audiophile so I won't pretend to be. They sound great. Awesome bass, good mix of highs, but beyond that I'm a fish out of water. The comfort however, is something I do know. These are pretty horrid for long term listening. I can go about an hour before I need to take them out. They're uncomfortable overall, poor design imo. They also refuse to stay in the ear, often slipping out when I'm not doing anything (working at my desk). What really sucks is they Comply doesn't have any eartips specifically for the DM008K's, so universal will have to do. The included foam tips are terrible, no saving grace there. I really wish these would've come with better ear tips, I feel like that'd have made them a much better product.
PixelFruitloopsI own the DM008K as well. I agree with your assessment of the foam tips. Pretty uncomfortable. It would have been nice if they had included the small silicone tips as well instead of only medium and large. I emailed Comply a few months back in leiu of the absence of foam for the DM008K. They appreciated it, and said that when there is sufficient demand, they will purchase retail the product and then use it as reference for the design of foam tailored specifically to the product.
been running it for 20 hours.... bass starting to appear but treble still uncontrollably bright.... which squeezed the mid and slightly disjointed.... maybe need more time

Just received my pair today, I'm glad I joined in on this drop this IEM's give the perfect balance, sounds great paired with my Fiio Q1, though they sound too bright, but this pair of IEM's get a thumbs up from me :D Hoping to see more from Dynamic Motion ! .......Solved the sound too bright part seems like I needed to set my AMP to Low Gain instead of High made it sound better XD
Hmmm.....seems to look good I wonder how'd they compare to the Beyerdynamic DTX 102 IE's. There was a drop for another Dynamic Motion IEM way back? DM100's?
ArcLightsAbout a month or so ago , and in the range of 80-90 dollars if I remember correctly. Yes, they were the DM100. If you type DM100 in the search box at the top right, the drop should come up.
ArcLightsFunny enough I just bought a pair of the DTX102s last week as they were on sale for $45USD on amazon. I'm enjoying them well enough currently (bit more bass than I expected coming from the DTX 72), but I'm looking forward to comparing the two.
For what it's worth, I found this statement across numerous sites. This one from http://www.hkmobilenews.com/new-arrival/1509241/#more-20008 and translated in Chrome.
"Dynamic Motion DM008K uses a voice coil magnet structure placed on both sides, and with a strong neodymium magnet ring, plus balanced armature characteristics, with the original design of 8mm dynamic power drive unit, through this unique design, even 8mm unit to be the effect of making 10mm unit. Feature is to provide high resolution and analytical ability to make sound more delicate nature."
and then of course there's this:

FearlessleaderI noticed this as well when researching the DM008K (still curious about the 008K's though). The 100's are also marketed across multiple sites in the same fashion. From Amazon's site, which has no reviews (translated?) -> "Seamless band balance and tonal expression is compatible at a high level in the Balanced Armature type delicate and high resolution and dynamic driver type of Natural, to achieve an overwhelming musical experience that has not been achieved with conventional dynamic driver loading machine"
They use the word "delicate" again, which I find interesting. Also, according to what I originally posted, it seems that the 8mm drivers are enhanced to perform with 10mm efficiency, whereas the 100's are in fact actual 10mm drivers.
The BDD (Balanced Dynamic Driver) (included with DM100 and DM100E), is touted as replacing the old driver, in that it refines the existing Dynamic Driver (same one on 008K I'm assuming) to improve THD (minimize vibration, improve damping) and tighten bass response.
