Emotiva Little Ego Portable DAC/Amp

From streaming videos and MP3 files to high-resolution audio downloads, everything sounds better with the Little Ego: a portable DAC/amp from Emotiva. It uses the well-regarded TI Burr Brown PCM 5141 DAC chip with an LME4986OMA op amp, and supports any file your computer can play up to 32 bit/384 kHz. Along with a precision USB interface, low-jitter clocks, and a direct-coupled audio path, this unit boasts three selectable digital over-sampling filters that let you fine-tune the sound just the way you want it. A unique offering, the headphone blend mode makes your headphones sound more like regular speakers. Bright, easy-to-read LED indicators tell you the current sample rate, the UAC mode, and which outputs are selected. When you press the button to select a digital filter, the sample-rate indicator LEDs temporarily change function to show you which filter is currently selected.
