The S110V is chippy af. I've seen so many posts of both the pm2 and pm3 with missing tips.
Of all of the steels, it's had the most problems from what I've read.

OminusMight be Spyderco's heat treatment of S110V that is part of the problem. I've heard about chipping in their other knives with S30V/S35VN that I don't hear about as much from other brands. Just a guess.

Actual S35VN or S30V like the recent blue box fiasco?

JakeSizzleIt's a limited edition that is in S35VN, the Native had an incident because Spyderco had recently announced a switch to S30V and the way they do their updates is constant, without any clear break between versions.
They call it constant quality improvement, basically just means that all models are a work in progress and the design or materials may change without warning. The G10 Native also lost its steel liners just months before they chose to switch to S30V, and that is to me a larger practical difference in the knives than S30V vs S35VN.
They are never going to change the S35VN limited edition into a different steel though, that would just be a different limited edition. If anything, S35VN may get adopted as a full-time upgrade like the blurple, and it's possible that it will replace the S30V version in the future, with the coyote brown variant being retired in favor of new limited editions, sprints, and upgraded regular models. If that happens the S30V will probably be retired in 2-4 years.

Because this is unusual for MD, I thought I'd call it out.
When this drop was active, I checked BladeHQ and other sites and found that they were going to have this version of the Para 3, but not at the time. I signed up for BladeHQ's in-stock notification and joined the MD drop.
On 9/16, the drop ended. On 9/18, I received a shipping notification from MD. On 9/19, I received an in-stock notification from BladeHQ (same price as MD). And on 9/20, I received my Para 3 from MD.
I've gotten used to trading off shipping speed for a (sometimes) better price from MD vs. BladeHQ, etc. In this case, MD had an appropriate price and I received my knife sooner than if I'd waited to order from BladeHQ.
So, good job MD! :-)

Too small. At least, it is because the PM2 exists. This is a nice looking knife. It is my understanding that Spyderco determines the minimum selling price that a dealer can ask for their products. I have one of their Golden, CO knives and I like it very much. It is very well done. If you want a PM3, this is a good

Umm, i believe you mean Minimum Advertised Price. Meaning you agree not to openly Advertise below a certain price, it doesn't stop you from ending up lower on the actual final sale. That's why MD will sometimes offer a "discount" if you refuse the "free" pouch, or other sites will use coupon codes, it on some sites you have to "add to your cart to see discounted pricing"
Though, we seem to be seeing less of that here for a while now, just the same old average retail prices seen everywhere else on spyderco drops

I don't understand why this is even on Massdrop, you can get it at least 3 other retailers for $5 cheaper with free shipping and no wait.

whats the point of a limited edition if they dont tell you how limited it is? also if someone doesn't need the extra 5vn's and the fecal color G-10, the base model is only 100 bucks on amazon right now.
So. Para 3 in S35vn is $20 more than the standard S30v. Yet just a short time ago, when they switched the native 5 to S30V from S35VN it was somehow an "improvement"( CQI!) and there was no difference to the end user and the price remained the same. So they must just be gouging folks who like brown g10.

The Para 2 is 3.44" and the 3 is 3". That's not nearly an inch shorter as it's being described. It's less than .5"
