tsigoThe domain name is at the bottom and hardly noticeable once you have your cards in the wallet as a small bend on the leather from the cards will form. Its really not as bad as you think it is. I'm really sorry the bottom stamp is a disspointment to you but I really appreciate your feedback and comments. Cheers!
ezgowalletYes but its redundant as one can simply do an internet search with just the EZGO stamp and arrive at the same destination. For a product aiming for a small footprint (slim), it makes a big difference in presentation.
Probably one of the best mistakes ever to befall me. I joined the drop... then changed my mind and canceled very soon afterwards. Skip ahead a few weeks and I suddenly receive a email notification saying that my wallet had shipped...? I contact customer support and they responded quickly and were so apologetic. They refunded the charge on my card and said I could keep the wallet.
I cancelled earlier because I was unsure if I could commit to such a drastic change in the size and shape of my wallet. But I figured I'd see how I'd like it and I don't think I'll ever deal with a bulky bi or trifold wallet again. It works like a dream.
As for the NFC concern, I use a card for my FLGS for points and I've never had a problem. Can't recommend this wallet highly enough.
ElliottAgree completely. I have purchased about 20-30 minimal/front-pocket wallets and the EZGO Slim is by far the best one. Easy access to cards & cash in a comfortably small form factor.
I got mine yesterday in Canada. It's actually a lot smaller than I thought it would be! It fits my 8 cards comfortably enough, and definitely is smaller than my old wallet. Attaching a picture with an ErgoDox for scale :P
The point is you shouldn't have to read through pages of discussions just to find out exactly what you're buying into.
There's a reason why there's multiple people asking this question in discussions. It's called the description page for a reason and there should be a warning at the bottom of the video letting potential buyers know about the 2.0 model change.
HayashiAntonyJust saw the discussion thread. The description does state on top "Making an already great product even better, the 2.0 model features the same solid construction as the original and replaces the strap with a second pocket lined with black suede, the perfect place for your cash or most frequently used credit card."
Obviously this isn't in Massdrop's control, but I would be all over this if they sold a version without the branding on it. I think it would be a bit tacky to have a URL printed on my wallet, for me personally.
victorj589Barely noticeable on the Black Kryptonite. More so on the brown. Not sure I'd call it "sneaky ad placement" myself but alright. The new Black Ferrari does look sleek though.
I bought this on the last drop. The RFID jamming/blocking/protection DOES NOT WORK. Do not expect that it will stop your card from being read as that is what happened to me and I ended up getting into trouble at work because of it.
Not a huge mistake and other than that I like the wallet. Shame I can't use it.
I have one of these and they are a great wallet. Having said that, this really isn't all that great of a discount as these wallets sell for $22 w/free shipping on the ezgowallet.com website. In the past MassDrop has sold these wallets for as low as $15 w/free shipping. They even had a deal once where you would get two wallets for the price of one.
MassDrop is getting a little lazy with the "deals" these days.
Love the black wallet. Very disappointed in the free brown one though. It seems like EZGO had a manufacturing error with the brown wallets because they are too small to fit even a credit card. I feel cheated by EZGO for pawning off their unusable brown wallets as an incentive to buy.
taylor.layton1Taylor, sorry you were disappointed with the brown ones, they were given away for free because I had no packaging for it and not because they were bad. Perhaps since there was no packaging to press it down, the elastic material while in transit to your address got tighter. Please see this video and try to loosen it like this (about 1:30-2:00) with your index fingers:
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Daniel
gtklockerThis is my issue. well not from european nation but finding a slim wallet that can still hold my spare keys (I like to lock my car keys in the car). The existing ways of storing the keys in a credit card sized pouch I've yet to see an interesting one
