Budget Performance
This is a Massdrop for the FiiO E10 Olympus, one of the smallest, most financially efficient DAC/Amp combos available. The E10 Olympus is easy to use with driverless installation on OSX and Windows alike. Just plug it in, plug in your headphones, turn up the digital volume control and enjoy. Want to use it as a dedicated DAC to output for powered speakers? No problem, it’s got coaxial and 3.5mm line out capabilities. The sound is balanced, a little dark by some standards, but very solid all around, especially given the price.
Such Bass, Much Quality
The E10 Olympus has a built in bass boost switch that ups lower frequency tones by 3db. The result is fast, punchy bass while maintaining a balanced overall sound signature. The E10 features a bottom facing gain switch that allows you to use both low and high resistance headphones comfortably. Finally, it’s important to consider the longevity of your gear, thankfully the E10 is a solid aluminum block. After some preliminary drop testing, it’s pretty clear the E10 will keep producing beautiful sound through years of abuse. All in, this is one the best DAC/Amp combos you can buy south of the $100 mark.
