Rec'd mine 2 days ago. I'm in Canada. Using it so far I'm super pleased. For me - a metal head among other things - the bass boost is clean and super punchy which is exactly what I was looking for. It works with my X1 with both line out and earphone out (so I can mess with eq) functions and is great paired with the Mac too. I don't have an android phone which was kind of one of the main E18s purposes but I'm sure it's excellent with that too. People who told me amping IEMs with my X1 was unnecessary were way off. That bass switch makes it worth every penny to me.
Thanks for your feedback! Yes, I already cross-referenced this particular item and prices look a little higher in comparison, even after adding GST and duties. All I have to take into account now is the currency fluctuations by the time this item gets a new drop, if ever again...
Cheers!
joanfervaNo problem. BTW if you are ever looking at Kanto speakers, I think they are made in Canada. Staples has them, of all places, and they are sometimes on a great deal, better than Massdrop could do. Just saying in case.
MotorradFor $76, it's a complete bargain. Congratulations to everyone who was lucky enough to have time to quickly see the drop and react upon it. I am very happy with my portable AMP/DAC solution, which is the Oppo HA-3. It's better by all means than this, for the in-ear drivers I use (Shure SE846), but there's something magical to this FiiO brand which creates an already irresistible pricepoint, even more so when dropped. I've heard a lot of praise of FiiO.
KairozI'm not familiar with the HA-3. I have been using a HA-2 for a couple years with a variety of IEMs and cans... I'm less impressed with it since I've started using the LG V20, it's giving the HA-3 a run for the money. I have to stop doing A/B comparisons for a while because I'm making myself crazy. I've not heard FiiO and am tempted at that price.
I think I just joined the drop and sent a payment via PayPal. The drop ended and I didn't see a confirmation email or an update in my transactions.. PayPal showed a transfer out to massdrop though..
