"Stay awesome" was my response to Ray, not you, silly. My feelings hurt? Not at all. I just felt bad for you cuz you didn't understand the dry sarcasm I tend to lean on. Also, I don't have a Patreon, so I don't quite know what you're going on about there.
If you get the earbuds, lemme know how they sound. Cheers.
People are strange, and buckets are weird. Or, people are buckets, and strange is weird? No wait, I know, it's bucket people are weirdly strange.
Yep. Nailed it.
It's based on the films rather than the original series. The third colorway is Mark 06. This is to commemorate the 4th film. Unit-00 hasn't played the same part in the Rebuild films as it did in the original.
postwarscarsYes. OG fans love Rei and hate Asuka. Movie fans love Asuka and are indifferent to Rei.
Additionally, the Unit-00 colorway has sold so poorly (at least in Japan), it's generally dropped. (EVA store, 174 items in Unit-00 colorway, as 332 for Unit-02 and 724 for Unit-01.)
Designers usually opt for Rei's colorway instead.
These are very much for EVA fans. That Part of me wants them as collectables, but the audio part of me doesn't want them because there really just about how they look.
Plus at $700 for the set you could get some super nice EVA collectables or a keycap set inspired by it.
But maybe they sound fantastic, maybe ill cave and buy one to review.
Edit: The more I sit on it the more I want to get one in for review.
I did miss that part, though it's sort of pointless.
As for LifelongCaboose: it already looks like a toy and it's based on a cartoon's branding, unless you're trying to be incredibly subtle it's still missing the mark. It doesn't even have to be a face, what if it were logos that populate the show? Thematic elements other than color, which can be way more subtle or interesting? As it stands the only thing visually tying it together are the colors, and I just find that to be a reach in relation to proper branding practice.
the fact that every comment that says they don't like this product's sound quality is being hidden/deleted by moderators really puts me off buying this. way too suspicious.
I can’t believe you would spend that much money in hopes that mass drop gave a shit about your purchase. I’m obviously a fan of this site but wow you have mad faith in them. I hope it works out for you truly.
Imagine acting like your shit take was bait... your literally a lonely boomer hanging out on DROP. Nothing gets more pathetic than that. Kinda cringe too.
This shit looks like the kind of toys I had in the 80s and 90s that fired NERF darts
"When you want your children to be audiophiles" is totally an applicable slogan.
Edit: and yes I get the reference.

"As for the 3 released models, I am sure there is a good appeal to all fans just by the looks, while the sound is satisfactory, optimized for gaming and outdoor listening with good clarity and bass power while sporting super long playback time as a huge bonus."
For anyone looking for these, they are still available at local enthusiast shops and online throughout. I bought mine some 50 days ago and want to share that I think these buds have the best sound of all the sub-$300 earbuds out there. Momentum comes close, but this is better in soundstage and bass. The colors and the case are great too as well as the bluetooth. But literally everything else sucks: 1) included eartips are just unusable, 2) I put Spinfit tips on mine and it got better, but it just won't stay in my ear because the shape is not ear friendly and the heavy housing sticks out and pulls the earbud out, 3) the mic is one of the most horrendous I've ever heard on a bud, my $20 buds can outperform it easily, 4) there are no controls to speak off, 5) it can only connect to one device at a time, 6) bluetooth reconnect is great, but connecting them for the first time or resetting them to connect to another device is a horrible chore as the buds literally need to be reset to connect to anything else, and when entering the bluetooth pairing mode, it takes them a good minute (yes, a MINUTE) to start appearing in BT device lists, 7) everything is cheap plastic, and combined with the buds' inability to stay inside the ear, that means one fall away from damage, even the case, that's expected to be opened and closed about 3 times a day, has now after only over a month begun creaking as I open it, there are no good materials in this.
Tl:DR; phenomenal sound, but at its current price, it's honestly outrageous, even if it targets deihard anime fans (which I am). This has $300+ sound in what feels like a $20 body and presentation, but still priced at the high end.
Cool, I’m glad we both found something that works. From my own anecdotal experience Sony WF 1000 XM4s fit seriously fantastic and stay in my ear better than any other bud I can remember, seriously. I had doubts the way the instructions told you to insert them but damn if it doesn’t work for me. I didn’t like the XM three, thinking they sounded flat and when I’m looking for a wireless Bluetooth waterproof ANC noise canceling earbuds with a decent charge time I can’t think of a better competitor and the momentum seriously let me down. To each her / his own. I found the XM4s scale with what type of Bluetooth device and codec you’re using. I use it them with an IBASSO DX220 DAP using LDAC on lossless flac, most of the time MQA if I can find it (I know some argue MQA as a standard, I think it can help with certain musical styles) and between the two as a pair for mobile and wireless with all the needs I have from a wireless bud other than it being wireless these take the cake for me 🍰
sandriyiI got a pair proxied to me before drop started carrying them, and I loved the sound... until they started coming apart on me month 13.
The housing literally started separating, and contacting Final got a "your seller was unauthorized but we'll give you a coupon for 25% off something else".
I didn't really want that for obvious reasons, and when I asked what it would cost for repair I got ignored.
