Great build quality on Aliaz switches and great silencing, but the tactile bump seriously leaves you wanting - it's extremely weak. If you're looking for a silent tactile where you can seriously feel the tactility, I recommend Zilents.
FYI, Zeal is still running a holiday sale right now on Zealios and Zilents. I bought 40 Zilents in the 67g version for about $50 (after tax and shipping, this should be enough keys for letters and numbers), and then I’m thinking of picking up 70 of the Gateron 70g Aliaz Silent here to finish filling out a 65% board (and have a few spares).
Compared to Halo Trues, Cherry Brown, and what I believe is a Kalih Speed Copper that was sent by mistake (!!?), the Zilents so far have the most noticeable tactile bump, and just all around nicest feel and sound. I’m a fan, no regrets!
What surprises me is the Kalih: how nice the tactile bump, located higher up the actuation travel than Cherry Browns (and has a better “pop” feel than Cherry or Halo), and following that the actuation is smoothness on the Kalih! It has the brown stem, clear top (with Kalih brand name), and black base like the Drop listing shows for the Speed Copper, though some of drops pics make the stem look lighter than others… if you don’t need a silent switch and you like tactile, I’d rate these as my second pick!
I do want to check out the Gateron Aliaz Silents though…
will you have the option of a 100g spring int he future sale? loved the 100g aliaz that novelkeys sold but they stoped selling then in feb of this year.
vamdollyholy hell 100g?? that's incredible. How does it feel to type on a tactile with a 100g spring? My linears with 70g springs even seem a bit much lol
jaybeeayyyI my self liked them more then 80g switches but to me the aliaz at 100 were tactile but also felt rubber dome like that was mechanical. a friend of mine likes the 100gsince it resembled domes as for me iv always liked heavyer things as for typeing i dont type much im bulk unless im playing with game code then its also good to have to stop any dubble taping of keys if u get finger cramps,
I have these in my NIU mini, and while they are silent, they don't have much tactility (IMO they're less tactile than browns), they're fairly scratchy, and the spring ping defeats the purpose of a silent switch. If you do end up buying these, a lube job is absolutely needed, maybe even a spring swap as well.
smxepherDude what are you even talking about? These are substantially more tactile than browns and not scratchy at all. I have them in a switch tester along with the browns. Are you sure you got authentic switches?
BukkakegodI'm sitting here with every weight of Aliaz switches made, and I agree with smxepher, they all do feel just as tactile - if not less - than browns.
Sharing my thoughts on these (60G) and Zilents V2 67G.
IMO these have a much lighter tactile, like a slightly lighter Cherry MX Brown. Zilents have a much thicker tactile and that's what they are famous for. These have a higher-tone crisp sound while Zilents have a low buffered sound. Personally I prefer typing with the Aliaz better than the Zilents and the price for the Aliaz is much better for its value.

See a lot of comparisons of these vs mx browns and I gotta add my 2 cents. I've had silent browns and aliaz 70g for 2ish years now in separate keyboards, I use both daily (one at work, one at home), and Aliaz's bump is DEFINITELY more pronounce than silent browns, I can only comprehend 60g being light on the bump but silent browns (browns in general other than box) are extremely light to the point of almost being linear. These switches are not that light by any means. For the price I think Aliaz switches are worth it, you'd have to be a tactile/silent snob to disregard these for the price. No they are not the best in this category (looking at UB4 and Zilents), but these are way cheaper.
sounds amazing, i dont have it, but is all the opposite of my cherry mx blue, no noise, at all.
maybe when its available, it could be a lower price, for students or something like that.
VinceYoungYes, there’s nearly negligible feedback at the actuation point. Like very gentle Cherry browns.
Edit: actually probably similar to Cherry browns. I haven’t used browns for a while, but I still think they’re nearly linear.
