Total waste of time and money. Be warned if you are shopping internationally. If your order does not get fulfilled, you're not going to get a full refund cause you lose out on exchange. Never again will I join another one of these. Useless way to save money. Just order direct from a China electronics site in Shenzhen.

Disappointment as this drop was not fulfilled. Apparently due to supplier allocating the order to another group. Who does that sort of thing? I was promised a $15 credit on top of a full refund but instead I'm given almost $20 short and zero credit for a drop that did not even happen. There better be some resolution on this cause our group never got the goods, but I still have to pay out of pocket?
Our vendor just reached out, and they have some unfortunate news to share with the group. Due to an error on the vendor's part, they allocated the group's units to another order. Whenever we launch a drop, we make sure that the vendor has enough units to fulfill the group's order. This protocol was followed for the iBasso DX90 Digital Audio Player, but the vendor’s warehouse team didn’t put a hold on our units as instructed.
As soon as we received the news, we contacted our other vendors in an effort to source this unit. Unfortunately, no one was able to accommodate our request. Additionally, the alternatives that were offered weren’t able to meet the specs of the DX90.
As a result, we will be canceling the drop and issuing all group members full refunds for their orders. Refunds will be applied to your payment method within 1-3 business days. As a small token of appreciation for your continued support of the community, our vendor will also be issuing everyone $15 in the form of Massdrop credit.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and have forwarded feedback to our vendor. We have also added new checks and balances for this vendor in order to ensure this doesn't happen again.
If you have any concerns on how things were handled by us, please reach out at https://www.massdrop.com/support and we will be sure to do our best for future drops. Thanks for your support, and we hope to better serve you and the community in the future.
Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the iBasso DX90 Digital Audio Player and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 5/6.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 4/25.

Andrew_NAndrew_n, I can believe they are 'NOS'. People stopped buying it when the dx80 came out. Stock has been sitting idly by.
Only way I'd buy this is at a way lower price. Strike that. No optical out, and single microsd; I'll pickup a dx80 eventually, here or b&h or something.
Really? $300 for 8 hours of battery (5 hours charging..) and 8 GB:s of memory? Not to mention that ugly design... I guess you'd really need to love having good sound over basically everything else (including your wallet) if you want to buy this.
CiderusCiderus, unlike most players, the battery is user replaceable (BIG PLUS) and it can take max storage SD card...so nothing fatal and even net plus regarding these topics.
I may be the only one who prefers dx90 over dx80 here. I like my DAP small and compact. It's not like the bigger screen on dx80 is doing anything feature wise. Sound wise I also prefer the more neutral if not slightly analytical sound, which plays well with many different headphones.
PxORI actually dont have a preference because I havent heard the DX80. My concern is mostly the DX90 retiring and the price. retiring the DX90 gives the impression that the DX80 is their new "flagship" DAP. But I'm like you, I just want the best sound, screen means nothing and I'd prefer as small as possible. If the DX90 is the better of the 2, so be it.
This is a bad deal. The DX80 has more features and costs $359 direct from iBasso. If this was $250, I'd be interested, but this is no good. This is no good at all.
I love my DX90 and love the sound. I never upgraded the firmware since 2.1.8. There have been 4 updates since then. Is there a sound improvement with these updates and if so, which one is the best? (2.2, 2.3, 2.4)
Can someone comment on the sq qualities/differences between the Colorfly c10 and the dx90. The Colorfly was recently dropped and I'm deciding between these two. I'm new to this new dap world. I have a Sansa clip that I like but want both better sq for my larger 24/96 library and a unit that has and allows greater disk space
