Unfortunately I'm actually quite disappointed with this cap as well. I don't mind that the density isn't super high because Busgamer made it pretty clear it was random in the discussion, but you can barely see the gold when it's on a board and when the backlight is on, forget it. The backlight makes it look like a dirty translucent cap. It would be better as an opaque cap with a little more gold in it.

BlueCrownedIt DOES look great in the hand though. I'm not sure what could work for it to look a bit better when actually in use.

By and far the most disappointed I've been with an order from Massdrop. The particle density in these keycaps is abyssmal. I don't understand how they can send a product out for this price with such low density caps being shipped. The pics on the original posting is obviously a cherry picked selection. I'm so disappointed with this drop. :/

CatGhostyAgreed! Not only did mine have a messed up plastic color and gold flake distribution, but I was sent the wrong profile height as well!
The plastic on your key doesn't look terrible compared to what I got, but that gold flake distribution should have meant it ended up in the discount "oops!" keys pile, IMO.

HundWow, my Enter key looks nothing like the nice one you received!
The "purple" is so dark and opaque that the plastic looks black and the gold isn't near the surface making it look dark brown. And yes, I contacted customer support about it. ;)
But good for you on getting a nice one! Looks great with the cable, too!

Meh, i'm not sure how I feel. It is growing on me. A lot of the flakes are bunched on the rear side and a good amount of the flakes from the top view are the undersides.

Update: I was given a Pulse 9 key with a backwards parenthese from a PMK grab bag, so now I have )9 and )0. Causes me to pause sometimes when I look at my board to put parentheses on something, but I think it adds character. (I touch type but I'm bad at numbers.)
