Whether you’re entering data, doing calculations, or frequently using the number keys, having a dedicated numpad is really handy. Kailh outfits it with Kaihua’s new Box switches Read More
I'm sorry. What the heck is the use for this one especially for $70?!? Is this for wall street people doing day time trading and got nothing to do with their money?
You don't see the value in a macro pad? Programmable layers? A stand-alone numpad/calculator? I second @Susse and @livingspeedbump here.
I crunch numbers daily at work and I absolutely loathe working with software based calculators/touchscreens!
My only complaint about this drop would be that it's limited to one color only. I don't see this strong red matching anything I got unfortunately.
controlAnother thing people have to remember is that keyboards don't scale cost wise alongside size. Making and designing a case, pcb, plate, etc, and having those produces is the expensive part. Adding size to a plate or PCB or case isn't going to add a lot of cost. That's why you find so many keyboards from 60-fullsize in the same price range. Customs of course are a different story, I just mean for mass produced boards.
SusseIt means it is projected to ship then, so arriving ~1 week after that. Sometimes it can ship earlier, other a bit later. Just depends on the drop!
Got my order today! Love the packaging!!!! It's super red like a Ferari!!! The keys I'm amazed are big like an SA profile (I don't own any SA profile since I'm waiting for the carbon keys I bought for this unit). The white (blue) switch feels amazing and has a smooth actuation like a brown but with a soft click. Very pleasing click sound for me. Time to play around.
SnorelaxYeah I'll wait for the other colours that were shown at Computex 2017, hopefully also with these Kailh switches. In addition to the black, indigo and red that we've already seen, there was also grey and white/silver(?). You can see the selection on the Ducky facebook page.
Want to know more about IP56 - can it operate in rainy situation or survive the spill of softdrink or coffee?
Also for the programmable part, it is only about macro and the RGB light? Can all the keys and layers be re-mapped to, for example, characters and symbols?
Thanks.
seidenfischYou man really have some issues -.-
Delay with one drop doesn't mean delay with every drop. I don't think you know how all of this works.
Stop whining.
