I would not recommend this keyboard if you want to use GMK keycaps.
I regret buying this kit. I didn't know south-facing switches are not compatible with GMK keycaps.

In the picture it looks like a lot of the keycaps are crooked. Should I expect mine to look like that too?

Just so everyone is aware: the plate that ships with this is not compatible with the split spacebar layouts, and the gradient keycap set does not include a standard sized right shift key. I got screwed on both of these things when I purchased this kit (I could have figured the keycap thing out if I was smarter but the fact that MD shows the split spacebar layout when their plate isn't compatible kind of triggered me).

Razor_bladeFrom what I can tell from the PCB picture, backlight LEDs appear to be at the top of the switch.

anyone have an assembly details? the middle of my board bows and doesn't want to sit flush with the switches. I can't see what's causing it.

I started working on the layout this evening and, hey... the plate doesn't support split spacebar, does it? Dammit!

jcook793You can take a file to remove this part. Takes some time but doesn't seem to interfere with stability as far as I can tell.
Still it is ridiculous to tell you that the board supports split layout and then without any notice the plate doesn't. When asking massdrop support about it, all you get is basically "screw you, we don't care"
