Product Description
One of the most well-reviewed keyboards in the mech keys community, the Keycool 84 2S is a tenkeyless board with a full set numbers, function keys, and arrows—all packed into a form factor that wastes not a smidge of space. The keycaps, made from PBT, are durable and resistant to the oil that builds up from typing over time Read More
I have a couple questions:
1. "RGB" LEDs...what does that mean. I know previous iterations of Keycool 84 had some preset rainbow LED patterns that I would like to avoid. I'm looking to be able to just have all white LEDs.
2. Does the board still have the numpad mapped to FN combos? If it does, is it toggleable by a dip-switch or firmware? Since it responds to numlock, it's impossible to use the board with a standalone numpad.
I planned to buy 3 of these but I definitely won't buy more than 1 without these answers.
To all who are wondering about the RGB presets, I made the following video to show it off. Leave me a comment if you have a question, sooner rather than later since there's only one day left for this drop!

This board is essentially the same as the Drevo Gramr, and similar to the Noppoo Choc Mini. Not to take away from this drop, but if you want one without the side-printed keycaps, detachable cable, lack of backlighting, and don't mind the gaudy font of the Gramr, have a look at that.
Having both a Keycool Hero 84 and Drevo Gramr 84, I can easily say that the Keycool's build quality vastly surpasses Drevo's, though I can't imagine what the user will be doing with the board for this to really matter.
The Gramr also has an ugly red/black braided cable that is not removeable. Although it has keycaps that melt my eyeballs as well, this is quickly remedied by keycap sets from aliexpress similar to the ones pictured in this drop.

I have a Corsair K65 and have been trying to find a board like this because I like the idea of replacing the keycaps and I love the 75% style. Is this keyboard a good place to go with replacing keycaps in mind?
The bottom row row seems to use non-standard sizes to the right of the spacebar. Keep in mind I am new to replacing keycaps.
I joined club Filco about 6 monthes ago and it is hands down the best board I have owned. I don't care for their stabilizers, but that is my only complaint.
ANYONE WONDERING ABOUT RGB....
me too. I found this video, and it lends me to believe that it may not be customizable; there's presets you can choose from. Then again, this is the only thing I've found on the board's RGB capabilities.

Bro49I got my Keycool 84 from massdrop 4 years ago for $77 at the time, (no backlighting) so yeah this is a GREAT price, better looking keysets and additional backlighting options. It's my favorite compact layout because it really has all the functionality I need without having to often use FN. Made me kick my Poker2 to the curb shortly after. :P
