nifo91The 3.5 definitely isnt, The ohers probably are. It depends on the wirering but usualyy if somethinghas 4 Contacts(3 stripes) it is balanced.
I just dont understand why the 4.4 has 5 contacts insteead of 4.
RainingMan4.4mm is a Sony standard called "Pentaconn" - penta meaning five and conn presumably connections or contacts. The five terminals are L+, L-, R+, R- and an additional dedicated shield. Regardless, it is indeed balanced.
Some information for those considering this as a purchase:
If you search around, you'll a few people on Drop, Amazon, Head-fi, etc mentioning defective manufacturing for IEMs from Linsoul or TINHIFI, where one of the IEMs cuts out. The T2 was one of the IEMs we've seen it mentioned about, and it wasn't the cable, because we replaced that and experienced the same thing. We owned the T2 with the defect, and we own other Linsoul or TINHIFI products - including cables - which were purchased here at Drop and other places, too. So, we reached out to Linsoul for warranty support of the T2 IEMs, and they (Justin) wanted us to ship the defective IEMs back to Shenzhen in Guangdong.
Not prepaid shipping, mind you. At our paid expense. For a MANUFACTURING and QUALITY CONTROL issue.
Thankfully, we reached out to Drop.com support, who provided a prepaid shipping for an RMA. We were only able to receive a refund, not a replacement, as the Drop was already over.
We won't be purchasing anything from Linsoul or TINHIFI in the future. Which rather sucks, as we've been happy with many of their products. But that level of a lack of customer appreciation can't be ignored.
If you continue to purchase Linsoul or TINHIFI products, just be informed on who is making and supporting these products. If the price point is such that you don't much care if there is little to no warranty support, that's understandable.
Otherwise, you've been warned.
Yea, looks like theres a bend. Not too sure if they can offer one without the bend (earhook). I need one that is straight down without the earhook for my Creative Trio IEM =)
XunnobiJust strip the bend material off. It takes all of 10 seconds. I do it to a lot of iem cables that I need to go straight without the bend. Very easy process
patzorzFrom what I have heard, Blons have rounded corners and sometimes require some filing of the corners on the rectangular cable ends. I think the typical shape has a regular square corner, not sure why blon went with the rounded corner.
