Final Product test, Points for Customer Service
Final edit: Some background-- the initial blanket broke during or before my first use. Got beads everywhere. I was quickly put in touch with people to help me fix this problem. Everyone seemed nice and I got my replacement blanket (which they assured me had been checked) very quickly and it has no issues. Thanks Luxton!
For the actual review now that I have a working product:
As I stated in the initial review the blanket seems to be of quality materials. A friend has a similar 15 pound blanket from Wal Mart and this blows that away. He is thinking of taking the dive and getting the same one I got.
The color is great and it really is heavy. The sections of weight can kind of clump on one side of each little square, but since there are so many squares this is not an issue.
I found that my initial uses have been, when using it alone, itchy. I have been using it over a sheet for now until I buy a cover for it.
The quality of the blanket really does seem fantastic now that I have a working product. If you can get it for this discounted prize and are thinking about trying a weighted blanket out, I would say you are a fool if you don't buy!
I am not sure the weighted blanket game is for me, I tend to sleep hot, but I am excited to get use from it more and more in the coming cold weather months.

Hello, we got into contact with this customer and have sent them a complimentary blanket (same one they purchased) on us, of course. The blanket got ripped in transit. Every single one of our products go thorugh inspection before leaving our warehouse.

Initial impression wasn't very good but Luxton fixed my issue!
I order the 15lb weighted blanket that arrived with an issue (leaking beads) . Luxton Home contacted me immediately and sent me a replacement. It turns out that during shipping the blanket must have gotten a small tear. I am happy to report that I have received the replacement and tested it out with no problems! Karla at Luxton Home is amazing with customer service! I will definitely do business with them again!

Not what I expected but like the product so far
I had intended to buy a sofa blanket to throw around, and of course my lack of research was my problem. The blanket arrived in a suspiciously heavy box; after opening it and holding the blanket up, it was definitely heavier by density based on the materials used. In fact, I was wondering if the load on the body would be a problem.
Well, I decided to try it as a blanket on the bed, and after a couple of weeks of use I must say it seems to help me sleep and feel calm after the wake. Also I am certainly more used to the weight now.
I do enjoy the blanket and may pickup another. I would almost prefer a more rugged upper layer and a softer bottom layer, but that isn't a huge deal as long as it holds up, particularly with our pet Pom on the bed.

Feels Amazing and Helps Relax
The blanket is an amazing purchase for anyone trying to relax and relieve stress. Whether I am on the couch lounging or sleeping in my bed this weighted blanket feels so good on my muscles. It almost feels like I am getting a light massage because of the weight from the blanket. The blanket stays cool to the touch and it is breathable but when I have layered it on top of another regular blanket I found my self heating up quickly. Definitely worth the purchase in my opinion since I have used it everyday since I have bought it.

Leaking Beads like Everyone Else
REceived the blanket for my son, and was intially impressed. After 2 nights the beads started appearing in his bed. Cannot sugges this at all. I was hoping I would be the exception to the rule, but my luck didn't play out that one. I would not suggest purchasing.

This blanket is HEAVY! Just what I wanted. The wife tried it and now I have to share. I guess that's a good thing, but now I'll need to look for a larger size. Quite satisfied all around.

Good While it Lasted
This is not a durable product. In less than a year of use all of the weight has concentrated in the corner and side pockets, rendering it a normal blanket that is difficult to move but doesn't provide any additional weight when under it. The sewing separating the pockets just isn't good enough for the blanket to hold up to long term usage.

Found out weighted blankets are not for me
Much too heavy for me, though that's not a fault of the blanket. I have no complaints about the build quality but I found it overall uncomfortable. However my friend who purchased the same blanket insists it's much more comfortable than her other weighted blankets, so I think it is a pretty solid product overall, just not for me.
