Massdrop Blue Box: NuForce HEM IEMs

Announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2016, Optoma NuForce’s HEM line features the latest balanced armature driver technology, custom-designed linear-phase crossovers, and the excellent sound quality we’ve come to expect from the company. Inside the acoustically calculated, vibration-free Lexan earpiece, each in-ear monitor has a different number of drivers that increases with the model number: the HEM Dynamic uses one balanced dynamic micro driver per side, the HEM1 uses one Knowles balanced armature driver per side, the HEM4 has two Knowles BA drivers per side, and the HEM6 has three. Every individual purchase in the drop will receive one NuForce HEM unit from the list below. The prize drawings will be selected immediately so that everyone has a fair shot. Participants in the drop will have their order number swirled around in a random number generator that allocates IEMs accordingly. Below are the odds for each model:

• NuForce HEM Dynamic, selected at random from charcoal black and crystal white ($99 value): 40%
• NuForce HEM1, selected at random from charcoal black, translucent blue, and translucent red ($129 value): 30%
• NuForce HEM4 ($249 value): 20%
• NuForce HEM6 ($349 value): 10%

Community participation is the name of the game, and we’ll be adding some neat offerings as the grab bag gains traction. Every purchase counts as an individual entry for these prizes. There are a total of four possible additional prizes, and each is unlocked when the respective number of units are purchased. The odds of winning each prize is 1 divided by the number of participants. Currently, the number of individual entries is capped at 1,000.
