From my understanding the little pads are 3M SJ3551 coins in the 15mm size. Can take kinda long to get them depending on where in the world you're located in. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3M-Dual-Lock-SJ3551-Heavy-Duty-Circle-Fastener-Adhesive-22mm-dia-15mm-dia-/263976792274

Does anybody know where I could get a replacement cable? mine got damaged due to an accident, can any 3.5mm cable work on Amazon? will it affect the mic volume?

Any 3.5 cable will work. The default one is pretty thin, so if anything, a thicker cable can possibly even increase quality. The only issue may be the mute switch, but I would guess you should not have an issue finding a 3.5 cable with a mute switch. Since it's not a software thing, but rather a hardware mute, it should work just fine.

this seems to be a good mic for the price besides the fact that it has poor build quality and doesn't work for some people, any chance they'll fix these issues and drop it again?

Has Massdrop addressed any of the recurring issues? Like many others, my mic hasn't worked since i took it out of the box. I tried my luck and failed. I do not recommend.

Nope. drop creator totally abandoned this thing after all the problems started coming out. You couldn't even tag him in here for quite a while.

So I entered this drop expecting a mediocre mic, I understand that the adhesives are not that great but I am willing to work around that. I'm also aware that the cable isn't the greatest and the mic quality is so so. However, my first order came defective, and the replacement they sent me is also not working. I tried it on several devices and tried to change settings to see if it was on my end. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to see if this thing is really working? My sound system is detecting the microphone, however it's not actually picking up any sound. Thanks in advance!

Smart product. They should make a version like the V-Moda BoomPro.

I do not recommend this mic, if I could go back I would've just paid more money for something higher quality. Major issues are:
  • Fasteners/adhesives are total garbage its either popping loose from the "velcro style" pop lock at inconvenient times or the adhesive needs replaced. I try to just leave it alone so not to agitate it, can't slide it up out of the way it's either on or off.
  • Boom arm is way too easy to manipulate it just kind of drifts off or shifts locations on its own.
  • The min/max slider switch seems like it would change mic sensitivity but it's strictly just a mute, so why is it labeled wrong and why is it a slider and not a tactile switch that I can be confident if it's muted and won't accidentally slide up too far and unmute at inconvenient times. It's like they made do with leftover parts from a discontinued model.
  • Noise cancelation is very poor.
  • A very non-intrusive low freq hum is usually accompanied when mic is on, sometimes hardly noticeable and least of issues but it's there.
  • Although it hasn't proved an issue since I haven't used this mic for extended time the cord is very thin and cheap and probably wouldn't last long.
