Great Looking knife but mine had a bunch of issues
I was super excited to receive this product but when I got it I had nothing but trouble with it. It had some serious lock stick which i would often have to pry away so i could fold the knife back down and the knurling on the flipper was super intense. It would hurt my finger mainly due to the stiff detent. Had to return it because it was too much of a pain to deal with.
Big fan of this knaf, and generally a big fan of FF. The flipper tab is a bit tough to engage without putting weight on the frame lock, but somehow I still just really like this thing. Very knice ergos.
The build quality is excellent, very sharp and easy to flip open out of the box. For people finding it tough to open, it might be from fingers pressing on the lock bar slightly that kept it tight. I find it easier to open when my finger resting on the pocket clip instead of the body of the handle where the lock bar is.
The Dao took more breaking in than my Buc, but, as is usually the case; paid off with arguably better, buttery-smooth action. It is also, arguably, my most beautiful pocket knife. The teal and gold, anodized titanium went perfectly with my ‘Easter theme’ 😉. I’m going to miss having the opportunity to buy Drop knives; since Amazon won’t ship them to my state 🥲.
WoolieYou can usually buy direct from MassDrop/DROP, or from FF. Amazon won’t ship to my state, either, for no legitimate reason (MA permits possession of almost all folding knives, and shipping of almost all knives to MA addresses. EVERY other seller ships here! Restrictions are almost entirely on carrying on public streets, and those apply almost entirely to knives designed or used for fighting. Something like 98% of all pocket knives sold on Amazon are perfectly legal to possess AND carry on public streets here, so the reason Amazon won’t ship to MA is a complete mystery)…
This knife is almost perfect. Came out the box centered perfectly and almost a fall shut action. A quick disassembly and a little oil has this running perfectly. Blade is super sharp and has become my edc. Only negative is the flipper tab is on the smaller side but it works 100% of the time. Second favorite knife after the ZT0223.
Excellent action, perfect fit and finish, and such a cool design and milling/ano job. Plus it's pretty darn slicey! I'm having trouble finding a flaw, even compared to knives in my collection that cost $50-100 more. At this $150

, this knife is a steal. I want a second one in a different milling pattern.
