Drop + HIFIMAN HE-35X Headphones

We’re always listening to your feedback and updating our products to make them the best that they can be. The Drop x HIFIMAN HE-35X delivers true audiophile performance at an entry-level price. It features the same 50-millimeter dynamic drivers developed for the HE-350 and has been retuned for an improved frequency response. Using an electrical high-pass filtering circuit in each ear cup, we’ve balanced the treble for a smoother overall sound. This model is a whole lot more comfortable, too, with the same angled hybrid pads—a combination of velour and breathable synthetic leather—found on the HE-400i. The yoke is reinforced with an internal metal structure for added strength, and the cup connectors are more durable with a larger 3.5-millimeter plug size.

Born in New York City in 2007, HIFIMAN has had a big influence on the audiophile world, and founder Dr. Fang has always had close ties with the community. He started out on Head-Fi and attended local meetups while pursuing his doctorate at Columbia. When he realized his PhD research could be relevant to his passion—the music-listening experience and the audiophile products that improve it—he started talking with forum members and meetup attendees about what they’d like to see in the next generation of headphones. Since then, the company has been featured in TIME, Forbes, and CNET’s “The Audiophiliac,” and won the CES Editors’ Choice Award.
