Back in 2007, HiFiMAN released a line of earphones so impressive, it rocketed the still-new company to the ranks of some of the most respected names in the audiophile world. These debut products rivaled those from more established companies with 25 years of development behind them, and got the community seriously excited about what HiFiMAN had in store Read More
_HATED_ the SQ (unfair comparison for the time, as it was stacking up against the Victor JVC HP-FX500 (my all-time favorite)(which was light years ahead in design, technology, materials, and the exotic wood-dome driver diaphragm).
THAT said, the HP-FX500 sound "RIGHT" to me with only the (now defunct, and unfindable) Phonak Audeo Silicone Ear tips (Medium for me) (try em if you can track them down), AND the HiFiMAN RE series Bi-Flange Tips. I prefer Clear, but I believe they are (hopefully still) available in black as well.
The RE Bi-Flange Tips also sound good on the Tin HiFi T2+ (thought the Victor JVC Spiral Dots sound a bit better)(wish THOSE were available in CLEAR).
Thanks for reading.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars. The cable crinks and the build is worrisome, but the sound is excellent. Those who say it has no bass are deaf or just bass heads. There’s plenty of impactful and resolving bass with a nice tweak of bass boost or EQ. They EQ well. Nice extended treble with very accurate timbre. The mids? Very lush. Just a really musical and balanced attack. Very similar to the old RE-ZERO. I enjoy these and look forward to another 00 drop in the future.
Its been exactly 2 years since i bought this. At a low cost, was expecting a good quality piece. The quality was more than i thought. Its one of the best quality i hav that i can use on a daily basis. I hav Shure 215 SE for high quality audio but sometimes im worried that i might break it and its not nice to wear on long sessions. This is the replacement and in the end, i spent more time on it than my shure. Been considering on and off to get more. Im also not a very careful guy n my piece has been through many rough situations but it still hangs on well. I recommend, Get it or more of it.
i love these IEMs so much but today i had to say goodbye to them because the earpiece just disassembled and won't screw on anymore :( please let me buy these again
Very clear sound, but no bass whatsoever, can be bright and even harsh sometimes - depending on the audio-source (laptop vs phone). Good for pop/rock songs, but not bass-heavy music. A big problem is that cable rubbing noise is super loud and very annoying. Currently I prefer my cheaper and warmer akg y20 (although they can be a bit muddy and boomy).
Mine broke apart in 4 months. The sleeve shrunk for some reason and the cable started poking through. Then the plastic cable protector thing in the earbuds slid off on both sides. Soon enough the left ear stopped working. My $10 Philips is now an official tank, lasting since 2015.
