If you had read my entire post, I was admitting that there is a need to express disappointment, but the people interested in the product shouldn't have to wade through a myriad of posts that are not about the product itself at all. In the comment section here, it isn't as big a deal as it is on Amazon or other vendors who incorporate the shipping aggravations into the overall "Stars" a product receives. A four and a half star product can be whisked away into the mediocre three star category rather quickly by folks who want to express dissatisfaction based on their feelings that are not reflective of the product, but of third party vendors concerning the delivery of the product.
If you ship every product through a mediocre shipping agent, then all products would and do suffer. If the product has a great shipping merchant, then we can expect to have a false security of the product by not seeing any comments concerning shipping that another, competing product would suffer for. The same exact product could be susceptible to the final sales volume, just because a shipper was at fault, or the shipper was a good one.
My main point is to allow the product to have it's comment section free from shipping issues. That would allow a perspective buyer to read about the products features, free from the excessive complaints from disgruntled customers who are not critical of the product, but of something that is totally independent of the product's virtues and the customer's satisfaction of the product. It's not fair to the manufacturer to be susceptible to a rating, only because it doesn't ship proficiently, or with good results.
