An “IF Design Award” winner in 2017, the Nitecore LR12 doubles as a 360-degree lantern and a flashlight. At 4.2 inches long, it’s smaller than just about any lantern out there, but that doesn’t mean it sacrifices power Read More
Nice fairly small flashlight. Lantern is a nice feature. The switch is a little tricky to get used to, but not bad. The switch rotates to turn on and is right next to the battery cover that also rotates to open, so in the dark they can be confused. Not that big of a deal though. I did have to buy the battery - it was not included.
Nice flashlight. Easy operation if you don't have your hands too occupied. I primarily bought it as a backup light for when the power goes out, and the diffuser is great for that. Only negative really is the necessity to use both hands to operate, along with lack of included battery like the pictures would have you believe.
Convenient flashlight for home use and travel. It can always be mounted on any metal surface and gives a lot of comfortable light. He helped me build a computer - as local lighting. Definitely go with me on a travel. It can also be used as a regular flashlight - this is its difference from other similar camping-flashlights.
This like most Nitecore lights is solid, and well constructed with a clever magnet in the base. Unfortunately, the quality of the frame and the magnet is overwhelmed by the poorly designed controls. Both the lantern covering, and the on/off is controlled by twisting the base which means it is always 2 handed operation, and can be frustrating even when you know how it works.
Really enjoy this light. One thing that surprised me that was not included in the description was the magnetic base. Which i have found to be very useful. The only thing keeping it from a higher rating is the knob function for switching between modes also unscrews the battery compartment. It just takes a little getting used to. But initially it can be frustrating.
