Good idea, and works for a few months but breaks easily. After a while it won't turn on and you can't charge it regardless of how long you plug it into a USB socket or power adapter. The button breaks easily if you carry it in your pocket. Good idea, okay design, poor longevity.

If one day you unplug the USB cable from your nitecore and the blue charge light stays lit for some reason, don't panic. Just leave it plugged into the USB and the light with eventually go off. (the on/off button won't work)
I've had this happen twice now. Not sure if feature or BUG.

1 year. Then limited, which is close to worthless. I recommend staying away from it. https://flashlight.nitecore.com/Uploads/FLASHLIGHTS/download/1515321410.pdf

These things are great. I've bought multiple 3-packs, and give them out to nieces and nephews, who love them. Great little light, the kids use them all the time on a lanyard for camping, camps, sleepovers, chasing crabs on the beach, etc. Reliable, in the 18 that I've ordered, no complaints or known issues. Recommended!

Love this little light. A friend of mine got the three pack and gave the other two to myself and another friend. We all keep them on us at all times and none of them have gone bad yet.

I ordered three of these a long time ago - I'm pretty sure I've had them over a year now. I gave two away and ordered three more - two as gifts and one more for a backup. With the two I've retained, I've only had accidental activation once or twice, while they've held up well to repeat usage. I don't leave them charging overnight, so I haven't had any concerns with overcharge, as they charge at my desk at work.
For utility they are fantastic. There have been several times where my main EDC flash (the brass Massdrop/Lumintop flashlight often seen) has been left at home, and with one of these on the keychain, I'm never without light when I need it. Sufficiently bright on high, just a tad too bright on low (for theater navigation), overall I'd say my experience with these has been solid. The only TUBE no longer in service was in a friend's +20 MPH cycling crash. It still worked, but the rubber button was sheared off, along with a portion of his jersey pocket.
Heed the words of warning from those who've experienced issues, but know these aren't causing everyone trouble.

I had good luck with mine for a few months, then it failed to work. LED would show charging, but would never light. Maybe my order was not such a good idea.

A couple of people here recommending not to overcharge. However, on the product page it says this keychain flashlight has overcharge protection. Isn't this feature working?

Got 3 a while back when on drop all 3 work fine , less than paying 7 each on other sites. Ordered 3 more since friends like them . It is important not to overcharge. Have had good luck with Nitecore on battery chargers bought off Amazon. Bright light for size , 2 levels of brightness light weight and does not get hot like my Cree which is heavy and requires a cr 123a battery . Very pleased.

I do not recommend these. I bought 6 to use as small gifties for the holidays, and they all failed within 1-2 months. I contacted Nitecore, and they just ignored me, never replied to my email.

I got a dud. Rarely used – gave it to my sister. After a few months she said it wasn't charging or lighting up. I sat on it for a few months before I CTed it and found a very poorly joined connection. It was a month past the warranty and they more or less blew me off. Just letting you all know that you shouldn't expect much of these things. Even if I didn't get a dud the light isn't worth $20 for 3. Sadly, I paid more than that. I still have an unopened unit that I don't even care to give away.

$19.99 plus $13.99 postage to the UK was an okay deal - £26.15. Ah, but now three weeks after posting and USPS falsely claiming it's been delivered, there's a £11.08 customs charge making for a total of £37.23.
I could have bought three of them from nitecore.co.uk for £30.

Should also add, I had selected blue, black and clear. The clear one was missing a screw and had one of the battery wires poking out the side of the case. Had to use the tiniest screwdriver I could find to at least fix the wire. QA is a bit of a fail here.

9 months later, and I can't say I'm impressed by these. I had (up until two weeks ago) been using one of these on my keychain. I found that since they lack a lockout feature, I would frequently find them "on" in my pocket. Many times I didn't even notice it, and when I went to use it, the battery was dead. So, unfortunately I can't recommend these. I would be willing to try the Nitecore keychain lights that include the lockout feature, however.

They do have lockout. Press on press off and hold. Light will flash and lockout will be engaged. Long press to cancel.

Yeah, I saw the expected ship date was two days ago and came here to see if therre was any update. Nope . . . I have several drops I've paid for that are waiting to be shipped, and most of them have had very lackluster communication. I might be done here for a while until they improve their service.

When this was last on MD a year ago or so with a significant discount going on elsewhere on the net, a user posted that you could buy these for $5.99 from BangGood with a code (M4Dtube - now expired) after following this link (http://budgetlightforum.com/node/37267#comment-form). Does anyone know if a similarly good deal to that one is going on right now or will be going on in the future somewhere else? I'm broke right now but I do want these lights and am pinching dollars.

Be careful when ordering these lights from other places like BangGood or Amazon. There are some cheaper lower quality fakes being made and you don't want to risk getting one without a proper protection circuit for the lithium battery. All the fakes I have seen appear have some kind of battery protection but are cheaply made and don't operate the same. I have bought several sets from here and have been very happy.
I would save up a little and make sure you buy a genuine one. The last thing you want is to have a fire due to a faulty lithium battery a cheap charging/protection circuit.

I dont ever buy something here if I need it right away and I've been pretty satisfied up until now. 2-3 weeks is not horrible but when the savings don't justify waiting over a month it is evidence of things degrading. Their lack of communication is also frustrating at times.

Ya I know I bought a knife from them on the 18th of last month and the tracking number is still telling me it'll be another 10 days until it arrives 😑 That's a stupid amount of wait time and I only saved $10 compared to if I bought it on blade hq.

I love these lights. Brighter than you'd expect, easy and quick to charge, hold a charge well. The only problem I have with them is that, when they're on a keychain and in your pocket, they're VERY easy to turn on accidentally. Several times I've needed the light and it was dead because it'd be glowing in my pocket all day.
And when it turns on in your pocket, it makes a pretty interesting looking pair of pants with that big bright spot...
